At one point there was an era where the big match in April was ROCK vs AUSTIN. But now it’s just Wrestlemania __#. No one there is drawing a dime or mainstream audience pushing tickets to see, now it’s about the event and show more than the talent and lots of case the people cared more about seeing the past talent than the current

Whoever is doing these AEW video packages finna fukk around and give this show a whole background plotline, end up have me caring more about the pre-tapes than the show itself.

So... basically, whoever is doing these needs to be careful, before they fukk around and LU themselves into being better off as a TV show by having as little wrestling as possible. Cause you can't come back from that, lol.

That being said, if Full Gear was an hour of video packages like Brandi's and especially Jericho's, and 45 minutes of in-ring promos, good as Cody's or terrible to the point of Kalisto... I think I'd actually care more about it than I do just about anything outside of the top 3 matches.

I will say this though. Cody's promo hammered it home for me - this whole thing is Dusty as fukk. Talk them into the building, end the night with a brawl so people want to know where it goes... some character building time, a fukk-finish. Man, Cody had to be absorbing a whole lot more than most people thought, even as a kid, to have this so apparent.

There’s enough diehard fans that’ll spend money on AEW to survive for years. There’s no mainstream audience so I don’t see why you’re hung up on that. TNA similarly chased after fans that didn’t spend money and we saw that outcome. Everyone that would possibly be interested in wrestling tuned in to see Rock last month and tuned back out. I believe in 2019-20, you have to cater to diehard fans to the point where they’ll spread the word to their friends, and get certain acts viral. That’s how you grow audience now. Not giving tens of millions to yesterday’s stars in mma & boxing.

They do matter but you don’t get them over night. Even though KOTR “Austin 3:16 Says I Just whooped you ass” did kick off the great run Steve had...... it still took a few years for him to make arenas erupt at the sound of the glass breaking and him swearing and drinking beer.

They only been tv active going on a month now and traveling (tv wise) to like 5 cities. How fast niccas really think this shyt spose to be for them?
