100 pushups in 6 weeks

just found out im in the 50 consecutive push up minority, coulda pushed further but that shyt was burning.

Started this a week ago and it seems like a good program so far just have a couple questions.

When you are on the last set how many extra push ups are you doing? For example if the last set is 15+ are you doing 15 or 10 etc. I find I can barely get the minimum and the last couple aren't perfect form.

How deep are you supposed to go on a pushup? I'm really skinny and I go until my chest touches the floor. Is that good form or am I going down too far?

Got the app its fast tracked me to a three week program because i can already do over 21 so according to this thing i should be able to pull off over 100 consecutive push ups three weeks from now, I accept the challenge, lets do this, i'll keep y'all updated to confirm the legitimacy of this app since my programs the shortest. Lets go.

On the last set i think it wants you to do as many as you can as long as it is to the amount or greater than the number of pushups it set

Your chest doesn't need to touch the ground. You just want to be sure that your arms bend enough to form a 90 degree angle at the elbow.

Week 3 is a killer.....:noah: It took me 3 tries to complete day 1 on the 3rd column...:heh:

I also figured out why week 3 was giving me so much trouble. The rest periods between sets are no where near long enough. I added a minute or 2 to the suggested time and had no problems advancing after that.

Yeah I find myself doing this especially for the last set. I figure adding a couple minutes of rest isn't cheating, right?

Week 4 day 2 done sets of 20, 25, 20, 20, 28+ this is getting tough :whew:

I reckon extra rest is cheating because you need to realize that by the end of this program its going to expect you to pull off 100 push ups in a row without a seconds rest, you're not going to be prepared for that if you keep letting your body cool down and get over the shock, I think you should just do exactly what the app tells you to do.
