Guy has a sense of humor. I'm not mad at that.

Nah he's good, he actually played well for the team in the snaps he got.

So was Fitz.

Linear move by the Jets

If the Jets resign Fitz, he'd probably start the next two years. If they trade for McCown, he'd probably only start 1, plus they pay him less.

Id rather Mccown if he's cheaper as long as we dont have to give up a pick this year.

It sounds like the Browns are gonna draft a QB high and sign RG3. McCown's gonna be the odd man out... I'd offer up a conditional 6th this year. It's not like the Jets draft well anyways :francis:

I see @Trip is in here tripping again:beli:

Trade Mo and keep Fitzpatrick ?!:why: And if we get an extra first rounder will they be as effective as Mo was? And there we go again drafting d-linemen in the first round. Cmon breh:ufdup:

Yea didnt you know? The key to building a successful team is trading away young franchise players in their prime so you can keep journeyman career losers and over pay :mjlol:

You'd be paying a non elite player max money. This is generally bad with a strict salary cap. This is exactly what good teams like the Patriots do.

The Jets set a price on Mo last year and he didn't want to sign. If Wilkerson feels he's worth more than what the Jets are willing to pay then he'll be gone- which is why they are trying to trade him. It's not Fitzpatrick related.

The proof is in the pudding though. Either the Jets don't value Mo as highly as other teams do OR Mo is being unreasonable with his contract demands. If they wanted to sign him long term they had ample opportunity to do so. His days are numbered as a Jet

It seems the Jets and Mo have a difference in opinion on what his value is. If he's not going to sign here for that number longterm there's no shame in trying to deal him for a good pick.
