Fitzpatrick has been a mediocre QB his entire career, while guys like Sanchez, Geno have been legit bad. Sanchez grades out as one of the worst quarterbacks in the history of the NFL in context with the amount of passes he's thrown. Pairing mediocre with a talented offense is better than pairing bad and or a rookie.

Sanchez had the luck of playing with a fantastic defense his first two years- and where 9 wins was enough for a playoff appearance.
