People who hate on the USA haven't traveled very much.

I have been through North/West Africa, some parts of the middle east and Europe.

With the exception of Germany, there is no place I would rather live than the US.

Sounds like you haven't been to Japan yet. Try to take a trip over there one day and see if you feel the same way afterwards.
