Th majority of English people are very coy. They don't express themselves very openly unless drunk. There's the cockney/scouse/loud types. But that's rare. Point being you need to judge them by their behaviour rather than their words.

English people in general are more concerned with other Europeans,foreigners that don't speak English and foreigners that don't integrate - which seems to be code for people who don't procreate with white women. The white guilt from the British Empire has lead the vast majority of British people to see others from former colonies (known as The Commonwealth you know, that's mental gymnastics for you) as 'safe'.


It's a classist society so that's a bigger problem than outright racism. But it is racist. Police racist. Justice system racist. Education system racist. So it ain't perfect. A few years ago police shot dead an unarmed black (mixed) man which sparked mass riots which weren't race specific, more of a class thing.

I think 1 in 3 black people in the UK are mixed race. It's a big thing.

The racism in the UK certainly isn't as extreme as in the US. As an Island nation, the UK is more worried about what's happening in Brussels, Easterm Europeans coming to take free welfare (despite the vast majority of mainland Europe having better free public services) and I guess radical Muslims.

I've also spent significant amounts of time in Spain (Valencia) and France (Paris). The French black poor are far more segregated from the white or North African poor which is interesting. I've never got the impression black people in France were doing well at all. Certainly seemed worse than the UK.

The vast majority of black people in Spain are poor African immigrants who barely speak the language. There's not many in general. The few I saw that where integrated into society where just integrated into the society. Not a large enough demographic or community for me to peep.

Nothing like wakin' up and goin' around the corner to the fresh fruit market and down the block to pick up bottled water from the spring 3 miles away and then going over to the other side of the neighborhood to pick up fresh meat from the butcher. I'm south of the border right now and just eating normal local food will have you dropping 5-6 lbs, sh*t is really crazy when you look at it sometimes.

Outside of the fresh spring part I can do anything you mentioned where I live at there has to be more stuff than that. Maybe its pace of life, money, or something like that

No you can't nikka because:

1) Most of the farmers are independent where I was at (Costa Rica) growing organic sh*t at ridiculously cheap prices. Most of the farmers in your area are mega corporations, using Monsanto product, etc etc. It's not the same kind of food.

2) You ain't never witnessed them taking a live pig and killing it and giving it to you, that's what I mean by fresh meat, not fresh cut, fresh killed, as in 5 minutes after I got to the butcher shop. I've bought eggs straight out of the chicken when the sh*t was still warm That's what fresh is to me

Nah I haven't witnessed all of that but like you said I wasn't talking about that fresh. Yeah I was talking more fresh cut and that's still not a big thing because as you know eating organic and or natural stuff in general will still have you losing weight. Its not to shyt on you or nothing like that but that's just not a good enough reason IMO (that's why I wondered if there were more reasons) but if you like it I love it.

Look breh, I'm American, despite the racism/bigotry/inequality that still exists, it's the greatest country in the world for working class/pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps people. I wouldn't be where I am today if I wasn't American. But with ANY sort of residual income money, it's not a contest breh, there are places far better than 98% of the USA. And every country has its positives and negatives. I hate the fact for example in Jamaica that air conditioning is considered a luxury, I hate the fact in DR everything is fried, and that alcoholism is so rampant, but the positives ( the positives) far outweigh the negatives. If you like a bohemian culture (e.g. think 311), I highly recommend Costa Rica. If you're suit and tie cosmopolitan type, Bogota is your joint. If you like to hustle, Hong Kong is a hustler's dream. Nikkas in 5 square feet of retail space doing $20K/wk and sh*t Again, not everywhere is for everybody, and the point of my post wasn't to sh*t on the US, the point was that it is BY FAR IMHO NOT the best place to live if you have money.

I'm not sure... i'm guessing the majority are under 40.

You've got half of men from the Caribbean having white English partners and 20% of African men & carib women. So if that continues with their children i'm guessing half of black people in the UK will be some type of mixed race in the next 50 years

Everyone has their lane. Some people are happy being in the U.S., some might not like the lifestyle and want to go somewhere else. I like the U.S., it is a part of who I am but I won't sit here and dismiss racism and xenophobia that I've experienced through my lifetime. There are good people in the US, a lot of them regardless of race or creed.

I can't really sit here and judge though, I haven't lived in a country for more than 4-5 months. I do have plans to live eventually in another country to either really find out if the USA is the type of culture I like or would I be happier else where.

The self-loathing is incredible. African-Americans who like or don't hate America are viewed as c00ns but African-Americans, people from the Caribbean, and continental Africans who worship and/or idealize Europe, even the very countries which enslaved and/or colonized us, are never called c00ns or sellouts. This dude from Mozambique was going hard at America, never having lived here, yet he has no problem with Portugal. Those four centuries of Portuguese rule washed right off. People give Britain (there was no US at the beginning of the slave trade, mind you), Spain, France, and even Germany, a free pass and people point all their hatred towards the U.S. People tend to go after the "top dog" regardless of actual culpability. Portugal, the biggest culprit of the Atlantic Slave Trade, and next in line Spain and Britain get nothing but love from many of us. Those of us from outside the U.S. who want to be super-Spanish or British or French and identify with them (sometimes even dismissing, denying, or downplaying their African and Native American ancestries) get the Them wanting to assimilate and integrate themselves into these countries doesn't seem to bother anyone.

Keeping in mind Brazil=The Portuguese, the main importers of enslaved Africans. They started the Atlantic Slave Trade and were the last to outlaw slavery (Brazil). No problem with Portugal, Spain, or Britain though, right? or Africans who don't hate these countries? I thought so. Just check FB to see how people of African descent absolutely love these countries, run around waving their flags and supporting their soccer() teams. It's not just those living in these countries, some of us have never even been to Europe but put it on a pedestal.
