It's true that race doesn't matter in this sport man. People want to pick sides based upon that when that shyt has nothing to do with anything, especially considering its a sport where very few American whites dominate. I supported Wilder previously for being a black man who made it out the mud, but for the past year he has embarrassed the sport of boxing with his nonsense and I think what he did to Marc Breland was evil. I sure as shyt rooted for Fury this fight due to that. And Wilder being bitter and unsportsmanlike after the fight reinforced my feelings of not feeling sorry for him for losing again by KO.

It only matters to small-minded imbeciles.

But a check is a check. The Paul brothers are only interested in building their brand. It's business 101.

It's not business 101 to get turned into a fukking vegetable, if not worse, ffs. A cheque isn't a cheque if you can't spend it due to incapacity.

If Wilder, or Fury, or ANY of these heavyweights connect with one of those two they would literally be sent immediately to The Phantom Zone.

No active boxer worth their salt, and with aspirations still in their respective division, would want to be in a ring for what would be, at best, an 'exhibition'. Career suicide.

It might be one of the worst bits of business ever, on all sides.

Kownacki Suffered Fractured Left Orbital Bone In First Round; Exploring Surgery Options

LAS VEGAS – Adam Kownacki suffered a career-altering injury almost as soon as his fight started Saturday night.

Keith Connolly, Kownacki’s manager, confirmed to BoxingScene.com on Sunday morning that the Polish heavyweight sustained a fractured left orbital bone during the first round of his sixth-round, technical-knockout loss to Robert Helenius at T-Mobile Arena. Brooklyn’s Kownacki fought through severe swelling around his left eye, but he often winced while trying to combat the taller, rangier Helenius.

Kownacki, 32, was examined at nearby Valley Hospital Medical Center, where X-rays detected a fractured eye socket. Connolly told BoxingScene.com that Kownacki will visit a specialist when he returns home to New York and will explore surgical options.

The injury figures to keep Kownacki out of action until at least the middle of 2022.

Finland’s Helenius (31-3, 20 KOs) completely controlled the action in their one-sided rematch, which was part of the Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder pay-per-view undercard. Whatever chance the favored Kownacki had to avenge his fourth-round TKO loss to Helenius in March 2020 effectively ended when his left orbital bone was fractured.

Kownacki (20-2, 15 KOs), defensively flawed under normal circumstances, couldn’t see Helenius’ right hands coming. He mostly took a beating before referee Celestino Ruiz separated them and stopped their scheduled 12-round rematch at 2:38 of the sixth round.

There was confusion in the immediate aftermath of their rematch as to whether Kownacki was disqualified or lost by technical knockout.

Ruiz admonished Kownacki for more low blows in the sixth round, a round after taking a point from him for hitting Helenius below the belt. Bob Bennett, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, confirmed, however, that Kownacki officially lost by technical knockout, not disqualification.

Ruiz ultimately determined that Kownacki had taken too much punishment and clearly could not see out of his left eye.

Someone please explain to me what happened between 5 and 6 on that count.

If you can't admit that this was an unusual long count then u don't need 2 say ne thing more ur jus bias. Cous it's blatantly obvious that was a long count.

Now I'm not debating that fury is better boxer than wilder of ne thing else bout da fight.

But that count was slow and long mang. It reminded me of Tyson Douglas

He did slow the count down and the shyt was suspect but fury was already sitting up regardless. Whether the ref was counting fast or slow fury was gonna get up at 8 either way. If fury was out cold and the refs slow count gave him time to come to his senses and barely beat the 10 count that would be different.

It’s crazy cause Wilder has that baddest man on the planet persona…but Fury stay having him look literally like a baby in ring. Dude be all wide eyed and gasping for air with a terrified look on his face. nikka be out there looking like a newborn.

Only thing this nikka ever won against fury was a damn staredown:snoop:
