Say what you want about both guys, but they left it all in the ring last night. Hell of a fight. 1 of my favorite HW fights in a long time.

Which is ironic because you had so many people that didn't want this fight, many people angry we didn't Fury/Joshua for all the belts. Yet I have a feeling that fight wouldn't have been as good or as entertaining as this fight :heh:

More irony: The reason that Fury and Wilder even agreed to fight in the 1st place was because they were using each other to gain leverage and get a better offer for a fight with Joshua. 3 years and 3 fights later, both these guys raised their profile to a level that I don't think either would have gotten off just fighting AJ.

Funny how boxing works sometimes :obama:

I think people forget Fury was thought to be damaged goods before the first Wilder fight. He beat Wlad and faded into Bolivian for nearly 3 full years. Fought a couple tune ups where he didn't look all that great and then came the first Wilder fight where he was kind of an unknown quanitiy

Finally got around to watching the fight - no idea how Wilder survived as long as he did, he looked like he was on the verge of death after the 5th round. After the 4th round Fury absolutely beasted him - however I didn't really like his tactics, way too much head locking and body smothering after he landed punches - pretty sure some refs would have docked him a point for the head locking. Seriously though I hope Wilder will be ok because he was getting absolutely clarted, was uncomfortable to watch at times.

They are not fighting no Wilder, man. Jake was ready to retire after getting hit clean three times against Woodley :mjlol:. They are not getting into the ring with anyone that can legit hurt them. It will be fringe guys at best, and guys from other sports at worst. Floyd versus Logan was a whole ‘nother thing. Floyd is an old man in boxing terms. Also, he’s not a big puncher, and Logan had a huge size advantage on him. You think Logan would get in with Beterbiev? fukk no. I don’t even mind what they’re doing, but people need to stop acting like these dudes are about to start fighting top fighters in their weight classes. They’re not. They’re smarter than that.
The Paul brothers were doing Jackass 2.0 "comedy". They're more concerned with their brand than their well-being.
You guys keep talking about boxing; I'm talking about business.
If either of those boys can get a huge payday, and they only risk getting knocked out, they'll take the check.

aiyyo @LauderdaleBoss drop your thoughts on the card breh :salute:

Great day of boxing.

Picked Fury by KO in rd 4 so him getting the late KO is still good enough for me. :ohlawd:

Wilder looked decent for the 1st rd and then just relied on heart an instincts to gut it out afterward. Great comeback with the knockdowns, but he got his ass kicked for 70%% of the fight. Wouldn't be surprised if he got a concussion. He took wayyyyy too many hard shots clean. Head straight up, no angles, no turning, no rolling to take off some of the steam. Just straight 100% flush. Got extra years taken off his career with that. Breland knew what he was doing with that towel in the rematch. Had to cringe on some of them neck snapping shots he ate. :hhh:

The co main was trash and don't deserve mentioning again. Felt like I was watching the heavyweight version of Danny Garcia vs Lara. :scust:

Helenius had Kow out the first rd, but turned into Luke Campbell and took his time with the follow up. Kow is done tho. Worst performance of the card. Took his beating too easily. Even Wilder would answer back from time to time. Kow just marched towards his L timidly.

Big Baby continued to impress. Wanna see him in with better opps now.

Jrock had Goku potential, but gives out Krillin performances. Skilled no doubt, but never saw what Bread be ranting and raving about for all these years. Dude is just too fukking hittable and the ring IQ seems lacking. Plus uppercut season stay happening to that nikka. Hernandez worked him over.

Berlanga started off good, but I felt was a lil too respectful early. Need more explosiveness from him. He had a gut check and won. Didn't think he looked horrible tho. Still expected a KO since BJS was able to deliver one against dude.

Re watched it sober, 7th round forward wilder took a beating. Fury landed some nice uppercuts, I forget what round was it but fury was killing him with the jab.

Think it was around 7-8 .. Sugar Hill told him to jab this motherfukka! Telling him something along the lines of it’s the most basic shyt in the book :wow:

Caught up N read all the posts…

Y’all talking about Fury ungodly stamina like he wasn’t jus as gassed at Wilder which made the fight last to the 11th :mjlol:

Wilder best bet was to be at the first fight weight… took the two years off to work in his footwork … N move away from Fury

we all joke about the new nikka generation not throwing enough punches… Wilder woulda benefited from a Swift/Jermell punch output… instead of gassing yourself out throwing the hardest punches you can into the air N then even worse getting confused where you at when you miss hands down eating counters … be hella economic with the punches save the energy N try to get to Fury once he slowed down
