Racism in Boxing is deeply engrained … I get what dude is saying. When it comes to Loma it’s “aw man, the fans need to know how GREAT HE IS. Look at the footwork! Did you see that?! How he controls Toyota Corolla’s lead hand?! Watch that again fans you’re watching a boxing savant who may be greater than that nig… guy Floyd Mayweather who’s probably watching this fight scared to come out of retirement to fight him”
They do the shyt all the time. Young black fighter with skills and boxes smart. “I mean he has the speed advantage, and he’s clearly physically stronger he needs to knock this guy out. Stop all that boxing shyt ! Why is he waiting for this guy?”
They are inconsistent in how the talk about Black fighters. Even when Loma was fighting Teo … “aw man he’s downloading and processing. Loma is sending that information from those punches to the bank. He’s faxing that right hand info to his trainer and he’s going to make the adjustment! We’re 6 rounds in and he’s thrown 10 punches and only gotten hit by 60, but he’s winning this fight with his composure and downloading and processing.”
thats just too general a statement for something like that and for particularly people aren't or weren't sold on shakur before this fight...we all watched shakur's last fight...yes it was a very dominating performance defensively but for the type of opponent it was AND for the skill level perceived that wasn't it..clearly obviously you know that..we had the same criticism...it was good shakur was able to turn it around quickly and learned from his mistakes
but inconsistency works both ways...with the mention of "anti intellectualism" in that case there should have been more fans giving wilder the business for fighting the way he does and eventually getting knocked around by fury rather than ppl going wilder has a one hitter quitter
