Not one black person i've ever met in real life has refused to call a bi-racial person mixed

In fact, bi-racial kids in black neighborhoods usually end up getting referred to as white girl/white boy as their nickname
fair enough if you have a different experience
but that rachel dolezal incident is waking me up to what alot of us will accept

Marley twist didn't come from cacs :heh:

It's an actual style of hair named after Bob Marley if im not mistaken. Marley twists/ Marley hair is an old term.

Marley hair in crochet braids

Package of Marley hair / styled in flat twist with faux hawk

Marley Twists

I come to the realization that many black men don't know diddley squat about black womens hair. We are always correcting the men in my family about hair.:mjlol:

Nikkas think im out here reading Teen Vogue? :heh:

Fuuuukkkk no.:mjlol:

All im tryna do is spread the word and give em bad press so they'll finally add black women to the roster for all the brehettes who do read or would read but feel underrepresented, in this case disrespected, by Teen Vogue and similar publications.

Let our Dark skin queens show these bishes how to really rock twists, braids, dreads, etc.:jawalrus:
Man...I'd even go out of the way and say fukk Vogue and teen vogue.

From living in New York I've actually met a couple of these women that work in the industry and for some of these publications.

It's basically insecure white women giving each other high fives and seeking the validation of other insecure white women. White racism is so pertinent and widespreading that even such a small gesture as this can be seen as overtly aggressive. The sad thing is they know about this...but will not care and business will continue as usual because there are more than enough insecure white women to make up that audience to drown out the voices of women of color.

Why are we always trying to go and get in their shyt when it's obvious they don't want us there? We could make our own.

The fashion industry has been racist AF. Basically it's about promoting WASP culture and maintaing white/european high culture as standard. Naomi Campbell was saying this shyt back in the 90s. Nick Knight (a white male fashion photographer) even said he was disgusted by the obvious disdain towards blacks in the industry whether as models of consumers.

why are you nikkas complaining now? this is what happens when you try claim everything under the sun as black
No, this is what happens when you live in a society rooted in white supremacy. Lighter skin is promoted above darker skin. Blacks don't make the rules. We don't have the power to "claim" anybody. Why are you people so slow? As if mixed people are black because black people say so. Some of you are broken spirited and don't even realize it. Obviously I don't agree with the promotion of lighter skin over darker skin but I'd never blame lighter skinned blacks for a system that's been established by whites. If you don't like the fact that whites promote lighter skinned blacks over darker skinned blacks and use the lighter ones as representation then get mad at whites and their system. Taking your anger with white supremacy out on other blacks who are also victims of white supremacy is just cutting off your nose to spite you face.

See, black hair and styling are a part of our culture as much as hijabs are to Muslims and turbans are to Sikhs. They have meaning and aren't just a trend or costume but because they come from black folks people have no respect to our intellectual and cultural property. White folks think that our culture is everyone's culture.

If you watch high fashion shows on Youtube some of the comments are very telling.
They hate anything connected to black culture and black faces. It's labeled "trashy" and or "tacky" those are the code words.

Black men have more of their own hair on their heads then Black women :what:
:mjlol:A clear example of why y'all don't know shyt.

You all really think black women are bald under that weave. Weave is often used as protective styling or adding volume.

Case in point Black Chyna's real hair
