Smh, i finally started untangling my hair under an hour. I cried tears of joy.
Out hair is not made to be just left alone, or it will grow out looking a mess. It is what it is, i love my natural hair but its a damn hassle no doubt.
These nikkas get their hair cut every two weeks and go crazy when their waves aint hitting right. I mean nikkas got a whole forum dedicated to 360 waves :mjlol:

Says who? :comeon:
So Mila Kunis can walk around with her hair messy like she just walked out of bed, but we have to tame ours to make sure it is "presentable".
Royalty Brown's hair is fine just the way it is, but Blue Ivy's needs to concern herself with "fixing that hair." :snoop:
Please do realize that our hair is fine just the way it is even when we get up out of bed, (white) society is the one who tells us it was not made to be left alone or it will look a mess.

Do you choose to cover your body with clothes because of hate? Do you wear socks with slides because you hate your feet?

Many people do wear their hair without weave, and when they do in the styles that are most beneficial to their natural hair for growth, it's considered basic or a kid's hairstyle.

Men want black women to have long hair but don't understand what that requires.

Now if you are fine with s/medium shoulder length hair that is doable. The cost for cute frequent hairstyling is sacrificing hair growth. Still, all healthy hair requires maintenance.

I didn't make the rules, you know as well as I do shyt is not the same for us. I would love to be able to leave my hair the fukk alone and go about my day.
You know how much I got hassled at work when I first cut my hair? There were people who thought I had cancer. My boss who is black (great guy) asked me when I was gonna do something to my hair all the time. Had another guy ask me when I was gonna perm that nappy shyt on top of my head smh. I worded what I said wrong, your right we should be able to do what the fukk we want to our hair including leaving it alone. But I have bills right? It's not fair, it never was for us.
Lol I actually thought I would get more respect when I decided to grow my hair the way it comes out of my head. I was surprised by how much people especially black people dislike their natural hair.

It's not just about appearance. When your hair is a certain texture, wearing it out frequently or for long periods results in knots and tangled, which result in breakage from manipulating it while detangling. Which is why our hair requires stretching and low manipulation. Locs are best if you want that wake up and go hair with kinky texture.

My boyfriend was the same way, he kept asking when I was gonna get my hair "done". His co-workers would say slick shyt when I visited him at work. It was their issue tho. Part of why we broke up. :yeshrug:

I wore my hair in protective styles like this:

I could care less who made the rules I care that too many people feel that the "rules" are inherent and appropriate.
Our hair is not inherently messy and it is sad that too many people feel as though it is appropriate for us to live by a different standard for something that is controlled by our DNA.
It is one thing to say it is sad we have to live by a different standard, it is another to say we have to live by that standard becuase our hair looks a mess unless we tame it.

@Tae is biracial? That helps explain why she's so comfortable attacking black men and people (by proxy and directly). :mjpls:

I'm not biracial that is some rumour @marcuz started. I'm just lightskinned that is all. I have two black parents. And when have I ever attacked black men and especially black people, I only go after those who blindly follow white supremacy.
