Not sure how to feel since I'm not familiar with the contracts but I'm also tired of waiting for our talent to "develop". While I don't want to trade Winslow or Bam, I also don't want to wait another 2-3 years for either to reach their "potential". Winslow is at best 18 6 and 7. Bam is probably 17 and 11. The question then becomes if we trade Bam, who is going to play the 5?

When it comes to developing players, I'm both patient and also impatient.

When I say I am patient I mean that I'm not going to call the front office crazy if they draft somebody because I assume they did their homework and saw something in said player that's why they spent a draft pick on him. In that aspect I'm willing to give it a year or two to see what they saw in that player. I am impatient in the sense that by year number 3, we should know what a player is and isn't.

Winslow however is a bit different since we didnt even work him out as he was projected to go way higher than where we got him. He was projected to go anywhere between 3rd and 5th. We got him at #10. When we drafted him somebody in here said, and I quote, "Winslow will be a star, book it". This will be his fifth year and I would say he is many things but a star at this point. And that is fine. Not every player will flourish into stardom in the league so I don't know if people should still have hope he will. He's a good player and a contributor at the moment . Right now he's just Billy Owens with a better jumper and court vision and bball IQ. Good thing is he's only like..23 so he's still developing his game and it wasnt until last year that we saw him take somewhat of a leap towards maximizing his talents with the ball in his hands. Besides hisdraft class was horrible IMO. he's probably top 5 among his draft class right now. At least there arent many i'd take over him from his class

This will be Bam's 3rd year if I'm not mistaken and while I still have high hopes for him I wouldn't quite put him in the 17 points 11 rebounds category yet. If he starts this year I expect 10/8 to start. I honestly dont feel we're using him correctly yet. He showed flashes in his rookie year. Second year was decent but i was hoping for more.
