I don't watch njpw but after the crazy hype I watched the main event.

Holy shyt that match was lit af. :whew:

The offense looked really stiff. The knees, missile drop kicks etc.

I love the fact that Omega never hit his finisher, and if he did everyone knew it was over.

Both of these guys almost died 2-3 times on this match. The bumps they took. :damn:

Omega is amazing. Crazy strong and insanely athletic. Vast array of moves that look deadly.

Okada should not be able to move like that for his size. His finisher looks weak to me tho. Dude is pulling out jumping tombstones as normal moves but uses a lariat as a finisher?:dahell::hubie:

I don't know any of these brehs and have no investment in the story but still... one of the best matches I've seen.

That belt looks fantastic as well.

I love the fact that he wouldnt let Omega get that move off, I WISH wwe can do a match where both superstars dont hit heir finishers multiple times.. But one thing I noticed at the show was there was a majority adult crowd, I saw very few kids there. NJPW can do shyt like that because they know their audience is smart enough to appreciate it. WWE has to dumb it down to appease the kids, which I think is what is holding them back from being more popular

yup.

attitude era appeased to the adults who had the frat boy titties n beer shyt going. And kids who loved the quot&unquot risque shyt.

We look back and it all seems very immature, right. The trashy raunch mindset from the mid-80s survived to the mid-90s without the cocaine gloss. The Jerry Springer Era.

Nowadays, they can't fall back on that and they don't know what to do.

Smackdown got the right idea. They're really trying to bring that old feel back. Make everybody hate everybody, let them fight.

New Japan... you don't even have to know what the hell's going on. You just know Naito/KUSHIDA/Tanahashi/Ishii/Shibata/Goto/Okada/Omega about to have a match. Any combo of those wrestlers.

And you bot to be highly entertained.

:laff:

I mean, I get the 6 star thing.....but :laff: It just seems so random

I needed to see a One Winged Angel countered into a reverse hurricanrana though to earn that 6th star. Would have been great storytelling since Omega had hit one earlier.

Kenny Omega:ufdup:You fukked up, no coveted 6th star from Adam3000
