Why do we assume Garcia has though? Hasn't showed it thus far. Besides for that to happen he needs to take the fight to Campbell and effectively cut down the ring on a way that he forces out said dog fights.

Assuming Campbell will stay outside and moving

Well, I assume cuz I saw him get thru tough fights and grit out wins (Morales,Velez) its just that ya'll nikkas weren't impressed by it and were too busy hyping up Shakur n Haney. Granted Ryan showed some flaws, but we seen guys like Verdejo lose those same types of fights.

Campbell on the other hand has shown that he can really push the talented top guys, but he can't take 'em over the edge. He lacks that extra hustle that just gets it done. Like he can't grind it out on some workhorse shyt and pull through say like a Glen Johnson, even though he was less talented. But, who knows, maybe he gets it done this time. Apologies for the vagueness, but its like an intangible I'm trying to explain.

I'm not gonna break down how I think they'll fight it out, but...

if its close enough and goes to a decision....... Ryan got plot armor. :ohlawd:

Justmy two cents and it's still very early in all of their careers but so far I think Haney and Shakur would beat Tank and Garcia.
Maybe it's just I'm skeptical with fighters who are fishing for 2-3 big counters and then reset. Lopez proved he has plenty of boxing ability too by outboxing Loma so it's not impossible... but I think Shakur and Haney are moving better in the ring and better at long range than Ryan or Tank.
I just haven't been impressed with Haney his last few fights. There's something missing. I feel like he should be able to get these guys outta there. He doesn't seem to have the punching power that everybody claimed. I gotta see Shakur and Haney vs somebody who could really test em before I make a real judgment.

Right now teo and tank are the only ones who have faced top guys. And they both rose to the occasion. But truthfully the division is so evenly stacked it's not even possible to know who's gonna be the best yet. They're all way too green. But it's exciting to look forward to.

I never thought of Haney as a huge puncher tbf, he had some eye catching KOs but he’s not the kind if guy who just gonna stop everyone

well tbf I still think they gonna shape out better in the long run :pachaha:

I understand what you saying though, I know the intangible you are talking about, basically it’s mental toughness, having more gears. We’ll see sometimes, today or later if Garcia has it, fair play to him if he does

The way Shakur and Haney moving, them nikkas might spoil on the vine. :mjlol:

Both do have the most complete skill sets out of the bunch, but they hard to showcase unless you put em in tough and that's taking forever to happen. Hopefully 2021 is different.

So this fight starting at 3ET.

  • Ryan Garcia -400 vs. Luke Campbell +310 -- WBC interim lightweight title

Garcia is gonna have to prove me wrong, he stands straight up. Depends on his left hook, very minimal punch selection, he’s not fluid at all. And now he looks to be mimicking canelo style? Like he never had a stay to begin with?

“I think it’s a great matchup for both guys,” Lopez told BoxingScene.com recently. “And it’s crazy to say that because Luke Campbell is a veteran in the game, and Ryan Garcia is on his way up. But that’s the same thing they said about me – that I was on my way up. But we’re on a whole different level of skills, when it comes to me and Ryan. But I think it’s a great matchup. Luke Campbell has all the abilities to beat Ryan Garcia and, if not, frustrate him.

“My only thing, and that goes for everybody, is that since [Campbell is a] southpaw, the check hook is right there for Ryan all day. And Ryan’s very good at his short hooks, long hooks, awkward hooks, and I think that might change the whole momentum of the fight for Luke Campbell. And I think it may give Ryan Garcia the win. However, we want Ryan Garcia to win. We want him to do good. We want him to look great against Luke Campbell because it helps us.”

“A lot of these older guys, a good amount of them don’t got the heart,” Lopez said. “I went to Loma and I snatched his heart, like a little kid, and I said, ‘Give me your sh-t.’ And I took that motherf-cker’s heart and I ate it right in front of him. And he ain’t like it. You’ve gotta have heart. You’ve gotta have something and I don’t think Luke has that heart. That’s the thing that could give Ryan Garcia the knockout. I think he’ll frustrate Ryan, but there’s a high chance Ryan knocks him out.”
