- "After the two losses to Joe Joyce and Usyk, he had a choice. Either find redemption or you're lost forever. You are in a solitary jail cell called Regret"
- "Those two fights against Jerrell Miller and Hrgovic, I believe we would have fought those fights for free. He wasn't fighting for money, he wasn't fighting for a W/L record, he was fighting for his soul. Fighting for his right to look in the mirror and like what was looking back at him"
- "When you get to that point where you fortify yourself, you are dangerous, you are powerful"

There's still money to be made if he wants it
Really up to him
Look how long Roy & Mike hung around and they were the absolute best of the best at their peaks

AJ is a brand but at this stage He just needs to fight Wilder in Lagos like I said, and then if Fury Loses fight Fury and retire.

Yea. Even with his flaws, you can never really doubt his competitive spirit. Behind all the pageantry, he really did want to be the best, and I feel that was as much of a driving force as the pay days.

When he went bat-shyt crazy on the mic after the 2nd Usyk fight, that was him trying to process in real time that for the first time in his career he could no longer be considered the best. We saw how hard he took that reality.

So now after this beat down, even tho UK fans (to their credit) love the guy win lose or draw, you gotta wonder how much longer does he want to stick around when that window is essentially shut?

Eddie “Get You Beat” Hearn strikes again :francis:

AJ was a lot more patient in his past few fights when had guys hurt; I think since he was getting everything he could handle from Dubois he was ready to get it over with and got reckless. Questionable training and teaching from his camp.

The thing is Zhang probably KOs AJ too and Parker is vastly better so that isn't a cake walk. And AJ doesn't have a belt where he could just go the canelo route and pick and choose who he wants to give a pay day to and retire. The Ruiz fight really fukked everything up + the Wilder/Fury 3 fukkery.

That Gen is probably getting their Karma because AJ and Wilder could have BEEN undisputed which makes this even more sick lmfao
