Your are very level headed and an optimist at heart so I expected positivity from you.
Let me say this: Is every song garbage? Naw. But the songs that are decent and possible even good on their own do nothing to improve the overall subparness/wackness of this album. The songs I felt were decent were still not songs that I could repeatedly listen to because they have no soul or passion or style or substance or it to them. There is nothing that I can remember being fire, but I need to listen again because I lost patience towards the end due to my disappointment.
The album isn't even that bad....people are really exaggerating over here. The only song i was smh to disappointment was throw that. Beatz could have been better but is the album pure garbage??? No
Lmao at 2chainz album being better than this. Any of crooked's verses shyt on that album...shame on you
4 out of 5 mics...i dont know about u nikkaz really...had a couple really dope cuts along with some snoozers but in no way is it a bad album...they clearly went for the college crowd not you new nikkas. we will see it works for them...
They could've limitted it to 1 to 3 songs for the radio and stayed true to their sound for the rest of the album. They would've kept their credibility in tact and probably sold more albums in the long run. Instead they made almost a whole album filled with corny circus music which alienates their core fanbase and isnt good enough to attract new ones.
These are the same dudes who have been preaching about how watered down hiphop has gotten for years. Now the first time they get a bit of a buzz they go against everything they're respected for and give us this trash.
If you're gonna try to go for mainstream appeal at least put out shyt that's catchy or listenable. This album is even by those standards.
Exactly. The fact that they made mainstream aimed tracks are def expected on a major but that doesnt excuse the album for having weak pop beats and terrible mailed in pop hooks. You can make your three radio singles and have them be of high quality and undeniable bangers but don't just fill your album with wack beats and wack hooks.
The sad thing is there not gonna sell a bunch of records to begin with and if you turn your core fanbase off with half ass music they won't even buy your record.
album was wack, but there's a reason why On The House was a mixtape and not the album (and not because of "sample clearances" or anything else). As good of a mixtape as it was, they know they can't get people to actually buy that.
can somebody youtube the album
