being that cage was the monster heel they was building up its dumb for him to lose by throwing in the towel. if anything you can do dq there you can have cage dominate the match then allen come out no where to get revenge . you can make that match not for the belt then have cage beat mox then cage looks more as dominate heel ....

AEW absolutely refuses to do DQs.

i dont watch aew that much but do catch clips. and to me they only have two good as heels cage because he the monster heel can destroy competition and mjf classic heel on the mic. you got mjf as mid carder and you just made your top heel throw in the towel in his first big single match

I don’t like that Cage finish at all. It’s one thing to be held in a submission from like a Kurt Angle or any submission based wrestler where it’s viewed as inescapable, but not being able to escape a move from Jon Moxley? And after Taz talking all that shyt the past few weeks only for him to throw in the towel
