Show was really fun live. Very neckbeard heavy but them dudes have a bad rep. They’re good people

My biggest takeaways -

Negative - Production isn’t that great. Once attending live shows from the E, AEW’s production feels so small in the venue. The pyro, the stage.. everything.



Positive - literally everything else. Most fun I’ve had at a wrestling show in forever. The fans are just more invested, and that makes everything much more entertaining. When I’m at WWE shows it’s a lot of sitting on your hands. The AEW fans keep this shyt shaking.


MJF promo was flames live. dudes were booing the shyt out of him but by the end of it he had us chanting his name. Not sure how much of it made tv but he was saying some wild shyt. Dropping F bombs and all.

Punk is sloppy as hell…


But yeah man. 10/10 experience. I’ll be attending again when they’re back out this way

Smarks who've spent years reading that worked shoots are stupid from Meltzer, Scott Keith, etc think that hating them makes them smart and have good taste (yet still like Punks 2011 promos), but that was definitely a good worked shoot.

Didn't blatantly say "wrestling is fake" too much and had the crowd super into it.

The only version of worked shoot stuff I like is when it leads and build to a match that is worth a damn. I loved Punk "pipe bomb" because it was an incredible build to a WWE Title match. I fukking despised the "I'm Phil Brooks talking to Paul Levesque" bullshyt he ended up doing with HHH like 2 months later.

Nothing about what MJF said made me want to watch what's next for him because there was nothing there. Oh he's mad because "he deserves better"? and he wants to be fired by "fukking mark" Tony Khan? Yeah no thanks on having Aderall Man on TV running an angle.
