Jey only joined the Bloodline because Roman was strangling Jimmy.
If Jimmy had stayed in the back, the story told was that Jey would have rather died than fall in line.
Also, with this Sami Zayn shyt it is clear that the Jey Uso character values loyalty. So surely, he's loyal until something happens to where the person he is loyal to disrespects that loyalty.
In this case, Jimmy getting that work would dishonor that loyalty.
