Gauntlet matches generally just suck the life out of the show.
The only Gauntlet match I've ever enjoyed was New Day fighting to save Kofi's mania spot.

It would have been better for Bayley and Lyra to work their way through a mini tournament.
Like they could have six teams meet and in 3 separate matches and had a triple threat match that would have been better than that Gauntlet.

And Chelsea could have got more time on the show. Like Piper and Alba didn't come out for her match cause they were prepping for the main event would have been just as effective.

Yeah when they're like that THEN it makes sense. I think DB had to do one too in 2013 for a title shot. It makes sense when their is a heel authority figure stacking the deck against a babyface who has to overcome.
