Situations like this is why it's important to have multiple options to go after a championship at Wrestlemania. That's why there should always be multiple legitimate challengers to a championship circling around you. Imagine if they had been building up Damian Priest to call his shot at Wrestlemania for months, or if they had been teasing a feud for Drew and Seth for months with no singles match on free TV, then they could've just easily inserted them into the title match after Punk got hurt no problem. Two fresh matchups and none of them would've felt hamfisted like this.

Crazy how after all these years, you still got bookers writing themselves into a corner like this.

I haven’t seen fans this mad at WWE since the big dog Roman days

WWE might be back

You look at that ratio and you can see that people are just upset because storyline wise shyt is not logical.

Rock and Roman is a clear marquee match that should happen. It’s just how we got there is got people on open arms.

Totally agree but in fairness I think they actually did do a good job for once having multiple options, atleast for Seth's title. They had Gunther face off with Seth last week and they've had Drew going at both Seth and Punk in promos. So there's two right there other than Cody (and Punk) Usually they just focus on the one contender only and pigeon hole themselves.

That's all it is. Bad writing must be called out no matter who is writing it.

Will yall let the man have his damn retirement run in piece, you don’t think he deserves that without being called a part timer or saying he politics his way in?

Also He is literally the CEO he don’t need to politic. This ain’t Goldberg beating bray, or Brock showing up only for the big shows. This is the rock who most consider bigger and better then both then nikkas, he can do this and it’s fine.
I’m willing to bet most of the roster is just excited to see him there

Breh that’s corny. The man is gonna be damn near 52 years old by WM. He had his time and it’s over. It’s a new era’s time. He doesn’t deserve a retirement run at the expense of their spots.

You could maybe make an argument if business was failing and needed a shot in the arm. But they are doing bigger business than they ever did. They are selling out every show and have WM damn near already sold out. They don’t need these old timers. The actual truth of it is , is Rock needs this more than WWE needs him.

Yeah, I agree, they have been better. But my gripe with Drew is they shouldn't have let him and Seth face off on free TV if he was supposed to be treated like a backup option. As for Gunther, I don't know why they didn't just go ahead and let him face Seth because both of them lost their supposed Wrestlemania opponents. It would've been an easy solution.

I'm cool with Rock v Roman, I've wanted to see it for a long time too especially once Roman turned heel I always thought him taking on the High Chief moniker (which sounds better than Tribal Chief to me) would have not only sounded better but it would have been an easy in for a Rock/Roman match because of Rocky's grandfather.

On the other hand though I also happen to be one of those idiots who likes it when my wrestling attempts (at least attempts) to make sense and the Cody side of the equation stinks.

Cody has to come out on Monday and flat out say that Rollins is a cockroach and the World Heavyweight Championship is a problem for him finishing the story. When Dusty held the WWE Championship and got it yanked from him there was only one, when he had Roman beat and had it yanked from him there was only one but now there are two. Roman's belt has Undisputed inscribed on it but that can't be true when there's another World Title so every time Roman hoists it up he's a liar and he won't let Rollins and the World Heavyweight Championship make a liar of him too. So the end game is unifying the World Titles that's the only way to finish the story.

I think that's pretty much the only way you make this make sense because why else would he go for the B-belt held by a cripple he's beaten a bunch of times already?

I mean, do we really want to unify the titles again? Has that ever really worked in the two show era? The first time in 2002 didn't last a full year. The run from 2013-16 was ass. The run from 2022 to last year was even more terrible.

I don’t think this is all on HHH though. Like @OneDeep said last night, Rock and the rest of the TKO brigade probably politiked for the match at the last minute.

Probably and I think the whole Vince situation played a part, they need a good PR win, people are severely underestimating the magnitude of the scandal it's just not a 'wrestling thing' any more

Nah it's perfect cause it gets the stooges riled up. Case in point: the rest of your post. Stooges doing more backflips than Simone Biles :ohlawd:
Sorry "breh" but using neckbeard cac language is an automatic L. Also you'd have a point if the rest of my post was filled with rage, I simply said it's been one day and we need to see where all of this is going.
Pure comedy...the Rock is the biggest heel today and he didn't even try. True greatness:yes:

Times like this is when wrestling fans deserve the stereotype. There's more anger about this than the Vince accusations, and anyone thinking they did this to detract from that needs to get help.
