Roman BURIED Seth and his title for ten mins straight

Randoms on here: Cody choosing Seth would be great

:laff: :laff: :laff: :laff:
Word. This is hilarious. They created a new championship belt for Roman to bury it and make it look like a joke.

They have two wrestlemania nights, they just said a night one match is gonna be a joke. That's not how they're supposed to book their newly created stupid championship belt winner.

Because when you pay attention to what's being said instead of the sound of your fingers typing, you tend to hear things differently :pachaha:

Cody said... he wants THAT title. The one Roman is holding, the one with the lineage dating back to he 60s.

He made clear that he is going for Roman.

...but not at Mania.

So he's not wrestling Seth for his title.

There is a show happening between now and Mania.

So if he's not wrestling Rollins at Mania, and he's not wrestling Reigns at Mania, but he's made clear that he's not challenging for any title but Reigns' with his Rumble victory... when do you think he's fighting Reigns and what do you think he's doing at Mania?

And I could very well be incorrect, but it looks like we're getting Rhodes/Reigns a month early and Rhodes is coming into Mania defending.
Cody stated out of his own mouth multiple times that the story needs to finish at Wrestlemania.

But cool, Discount what he says out of his own mouth :heh:

Hey :yeshrug:

In early February of 2004

Goldberg vs Brock looked like a big time destined-to-be World title match for Mania 20...

Eddie Guerrero was feuding with Chavo.

Then a little February non-big-four PPV named No Way Out happened.

More unlikely things have taken place.

That’s fair, but the counterpoint would be that Brock wasn’t on a 1000+ day reign

I do think Rock helping Cody beat Roman at EC similar to how Goldberg helped Eddie beat Brock at NWO is a fair compromise but I’m not betting on it happening

Rock vs Roman vs Cody?

Fucck No

Rock can't wrestle a full match. He's not in ring shape and Roman's not in a position to carry him like that. Like @Mantis Toboggan M.D. said, Rock hasn't wrestled an actual match in eleven years, and he wasn't in ring shape then, either. I know that this match has been on the table for years. I also know that Cody has to finish the story. You need a way to hide Rock's limitations and also give the fans the ending they want, which is Cody winning the title and taking down Roman once and for all. Doing a triple threat allows you to do both those things.

Storyline wise, if Cody is willing to step aside completely and let a 50-year-old man take his WrestleMania main event, why wouldn't he be willing to share it? Especially when Rock has no claim to a title match and he's only getting one because he's The Rock? And if Cody can just give up his WrestleMania opportunity, that devalues the Royal Rumble. There should at least be a rule in place that guarantees that spot for someone else if the winner decides to vacate it.

But you know what would have made this whole thing easier? Not having Cody win the fukking Rumble.

How are you getting both when Cody just said last night he’s not challenging at Mania :dead:
I don’t think people are upset at Rock vs. Roman being a thing

It’s how it was booked to get to this point. Cody wins the Rumble and is pointing to Roman after the match telling him he’s coming for him. 6 days later and it’s “Well you know what nevermind I don’t really want it anymore” :ehh:
People are mad at the timing of this and how it went down. It makes zero sense from a story perspective. I get mad when my other favorite tv shows have plotholes too.:francis:

Game of Thrones season 8 type beat. Don’t matter what the endgame is, if the build to it is shyt people ain’t going for it
In one segment they buried Cody, Seth, Seth’s title, the entire raw roster, really the entire roster, and even the royal rumble match. Did this at the hottest point they’ve reached since April 1st 2001 and with Vince gone. Even with punk out hurt and almost certain to miss the show, you’ve got the people in place for the following card:

Seth vs Drew vs Sami for the world heavyweight championship, Gunther vs maybe Bron or Gable for the IC title, Jimmy vs Jey (I personally don’t care to see this match though), whatever truth and judgement day will have cooked up which will probably be hilarious, Bayley vs Iyo with maybe the chance of Sasha showing up to help Bayley, Ripley vs maybe Becky or Bianca (maybe Jade vs Bianca), Asuka & Kairi defending their titles, KO & Logan probably for the US title, and Cody vs Roman with the Rock as the enforcer for the match which sets up Roman vs Rock.

That’s an amazing card and jamming Rock into the main event throws the whole thing out of whack.

I agree, Rock should have just won the rumble.

But now Cody looks dumb as hell stepping aside or sharing the match with Rock.

If he stepped aside and was challenging for the NWA World Title he never won then i’d say Ok….I get it. But that’s not the case.

"Fans" decided it wasn't because "well that's not what I think" RULES social media. This flies in the face of that section of wrestling fans who act like they're in the meetings making these decisions.

Some of you must be on drugs. Cody won the Royal Rumble and immediately pointed at Roman and then confirmed in the press conference after that "we all know it was leading to this"

There was no room left for doubt. The story they've been telling for two years is Cody going after that title. :mjlol:

Does Cody make booking decisions? He's Dusty now? :heh:

All I know is that yesterday, he made clear that he is going after Roman and specifically the title he's holding...

Unless it is announced (which it most likely won't be) that he's wrestling Rollins at Mania instead, people are jumping the gun.

You're big on people "admitting they're wrong", right? Just give it a few weeks...

Nope... they made the decision they made... YOU think it's fukked up because it's not the way you would've done it.

No offense but you obviously haven't been paying attention to the television show. I'd hate to see your thoughts on something like 'True Detective' when you can't even follow a fukking wrestling program. :dead:

And it's not just that either. Cody's whole story from the first night he appeared on RAW is "I want the title they took from meh daddy.."

And Cody himself said at the Royal Rumble press conference to the reporters "It was always leading to this... me and Roman..."
