Great opening match/segment and great main event. Everything else in the middle was meh.

Danielson and Punk been involved in what make Dynamite's good since they debuted. I hate they put Eddie with Jericho and couldn't keep Lio with Dante because those 4(5) could take care of half a show a week and make worth a watch every single time. They've been stretching them out and killing Eddie with the Inner Circle bullshyt.

To be fair, they are running a storyline where Wardlow is slowly turning on MJF and the Pinnacle, a storyline that CM Punk plays a big part in. You saw how little Wardlow actually wanted to help MJF.

I do wonder what they do with these two at Revolution, though. Because I think that, while you should build MJF up to a title shot after a match like this, Revolution is probably too early to do it.

For the record, this is by far the most interesting set of storylines in the company right now (Punk/Wardlow/MJF, that is).

The rest of the company feels on stand by or wasting time with Cody or Jericho. I hope once the Danielson stuff picks up, the Wardlow/MJF stuff still has legs, Punk is either involved in that or doing other interesting shyt.

And even though I don't care for them AT ALL. Kenny needs to comeback soon and start the Elite vs Cole feud to give the show more direction and focus. I know core AEW fans are gonna be all over that angle and I feel they kind need to get that shyt going.

It's also sad the champ feels like Cody. He's in his own universe getting little time here or there and more of an obligation than the Ace of the company.

We saw the Alabama luchador walk down last week, and Wardlow this week. Why does Tony Khan always over-season these matches?
It's perfect.

MJF couldn't win without Wardlow, Wardlow visibly is disappointed he had to help his guy win, especially when he looked primed to give Punk his first loss.

Even more layers to build the MJF/Wardlow story.

If Jericho puts over Eddie, and LAX get back on that tag team championship trail, it can still work out.

But damn, Chris needs to go home, and tell his wife to turn herself in.

I meant killing in terms of momentum. I know kayfabe wise he's not gonna be damaged by the feud but you go from having two of the best matches of 2021 in a month (vs Danielson and vs Punk) and you get saddled with fukking Geriatricho for two months, it feels like a complete waste of someone like Eddie.

It's like when WWE used to put people to feud with Shane or a mainstream celebrity and you know shyt was going to be bad. But the company felt it was a big time program because a McMahon was involved.
