Someone said it was better than one of the Page/AD matches. Not even close. Chicago crowd couldn't even get 1/2 as hyped up like the fans in those AD/Page matches. Took a Pepsi Plunge to get the crowd up from mid to high-mid.

It was 100% the right call and probably means the world to MJF given how much of a Punk stan he is.
Highlight was the Mox/Danielson segment. Whether they tag for awhile before turning or Danielson finna fukk Mox over right quick, can't wait to see it.
Have no issue with Punk/MJF match being "PPV" length, but thought they did the match restart way too early. Loved the spot though, MJF dropping the tape because the ref yanked his hand up to declare the winner, mixed with his facials right away knowing that his win there wasn't gonna stick was golden. Loved the Wardlow spot, where you don't see the ring handoff until the replay after. Great camera and production work from AEW there. MJF can now say he beat Punk twice in one night

Punk/MJF didn't work for me at all. Energy and intensity wasn't there for a feud that has been so personal and heated. Should not have been 40 minutes of mostly limb work and "wrestling psychology". It should have been Punk trying to get his pound of flesh and MJF either running away or doing cheap shots to get an advantage, not doing a half hour of submissions. Punk doing all these tribute spots kind of sucks.
