so what from the video posted in the OP would show him to be a bust outside of leaving the game? which is smart we in the load management era

the mins he played, he took over.

which tbh isn't even normal for a lot of dudes who turn out to be stars. plenty struggled in summer league.

anyway that game way more notable for the earthquake.

casuals. :scust:

Possibly the last generational basketball talent we’ll see in our lifetimes, Lebron James, averaged 20 5 and 6 his rookie year .

Zion isn’t a generational talent but plays in a era where ridiculous numbers are being put up .

I’d give him from 14-16, 6 and 6

Julius Randle average 11 in his second year .. and y’all negroes believe it’s crazy far fetched to think Zion doesn’t have the ability to average 3-5 points more ?!!! :mindblown:
Who said it was crazy far fetched that he couldn't average 14-16 points? And again, I wish y'all would stop with this box score #s nonsense. If the Pelicans are force-feeding him all the time and/or he's actively cherry-picking and/or spamming easy scoring opportunities, then of course, he could average a high amount of points.

The better questions and scenarios to ponder should be about how effective he's going to be in his rookie season. Surface numbers be damned.

He has to be one the most likeable basketball players ever.

His whole demeanor is wholesome.

That being said, I can see why people may have doubts on his longevity.

I pray he doesnt get hurt because he seems like a great person overall and I respect the fact that he has tremendous love for his family, especially his mother...

YEah if you’re one of those “pray for others’ downfall” type of person , Zion is not the one to do that with ... he genuinely seems like a good guy .

Define "bust". Depending on your definition, then his athleticism won't allow to be one. Just off of physical talent, he should be able to routinely score 6-8 buckets per game his rookie year.

Julius Randle is a good player. Randle does not have Zion's twitch of a live dribble. We already know they don't compare in leaping ability.
Also, ya'll are really underestimating how good the NOLA setup is from a coaching and player development standing. It's not LA. He can basically play like he did in college.

I won't go as far as flop but he needs to lose weight and work on his jumper. As long as he has determination and work ethic (and a good trainer), he should be ok. There is little pressure on him this year so he should just get minutes and experience.
