Zion is a 90s player reincarnated. Exactly what the league needs.

Yes all of them was like that :mjlol:

Could you imagine young shaq or Rodman with

Social media :russ:

Or Barkley

Or magic

Or MAGA karl malone in the mountains of Utah

On IG

:wow:

Low-key young Magic would have been the KD of social media in the early 1980s. He had enough problems with the media as it was, if he had an outlet like that the venting would have been something wild. Shaq would have been the LeBron of social media. The NBA probably would ask Twitter/Instagram to permaban Rodman for the not safe for kids shyt he mighta thrown up there. And Barkley woulda been out there starting controversies on a weekly basis.

No goofy shyt. No be my friend shyt. No clout chasing. Just raw and balling. Derrick Rose was Zion a decade ago. Let's hope Zion is blessed to be able to carry tradition for the next 15 years.
Why does the league need this in particular?

Kids today don't really understand how the media shielded athletes in the past (or chose to demonize them when they wanted to)

The most glaring example is how the media protected Mickey Mantle during his career. But just imagine the paparazzi and social media in that era...how things could have been so different...

I think he's still taking a while to get up to game speed. It's not that he's trying to go easy, it's just that he's only been around 15 games and is still a split-second too slow to really take it to guys (not slow to jump or react, but slow to make a decision with the ball). Probably some point around midway next season you're gonna see him make a leap and become more confident and aggressive with it.

It's pretty incredible the amount of power and influence you haters credit to Bron. You want to say he's not a leader and then you turn around and credit him with not only leading his teammates, but literally running the entire fukking league the way he wants and forcing everyone to be a follower. When would you say LeBron took over the league to the point that all the stars were following his example and not Kobe's?

Also, it's only a coincidence because in reality the dumb shyt you talk about has nothing to do with Kobe or LeBron, but Kobe's retirement was when the All-Star Game actually got GOOD. The last four all-star games without Kobe have all been fire, the most competitive of my lifetime, and LeBron's been the captain of the winning team all four times. Also, the first finals after Kobe retired was one of the most competitive Finals ever and had all sorts of edge and competitive fire to it to the point where even four years later none of those guys are fukking with each other.

These Kobe vs. Bron, "this era is soft", "players can't be friends" narratives are just clown shyt. All of these stars are among the best to ever do it and had to be competitive as fukk to even be here. You could have all the physical gifts and skill in the world and you still might just be Andrew Wiggins. To be a superstar you HAVE to have a competitive fire, and anyone trying to take that away from them is a fool.

First of all hold this Neg, for disrespecting a dead icon..

You said when Kobe retired the all star game got GOOD..

The most competitive of your lifetime?

Then you must be 4 years old

:scust:

Is that why the year after Kobe retired was considered the WOAT all star game?

You said the 4 years after he retired were the best and most competitive? What about 2017?

That year with Bron as the standard bearer the league was forced to change the format for this 6th grade style team captain shyt to try and fix a game that was considered to be a laughing stock here are some of the headlines:

Reggie Miller says defense-optional NBA All-Star Game was ‘an absolute joke and mockery’

Why the NBA All-Star Game has become unwatchable in 2017

Why the NBA All-Star Game has become unwatchable in 2017

Adam Silver agrees NBA All-Star Game stinks, needs a ‘reset

So GTFOH with Kobe retiring made the all star game better..

No I didn't, dumbass.

Dumbass, did you ever read any of those articles or are you just linking shyt you haven't even read? The 2017 in the link's name is a typo. That article is about the 2016 All-Star Game, where Kobe started and played 26 minutes going 4-11 for 10 points.

The score of the 2016 NBA All-Star game was West 196, East 173.

The team that lost by 23 in this contest topped the previous scoring record in an All-Star Game by 10 points.

Let that sink in for a second.

There were 286 shots taken, which averages out to one every 10 seconds.

Yet an incredibly low number of those shots were contested, as we saw only four trips to the free throw line and two blocked shots all game. That includes zero blocks from the West, who actually haven’t had a single one in three straight years.

This was unwatchable, and even more so when you could consider the potential for entertainment if the best players in the world would give even preseason-level effort for one-third of the game.

While it’s silly to get too deep into stats from an NBA All-Star exhibition, there are a few that tell a clear story. And it’s an unfortunate one.

It’s a story of defenders standing around without making even the slightest attempt to challenge a shot or get in someone’s way.
That's all about the 2016 All-Star Game that Kobe started in, and the article says that the game has been declining since 2001. Entire article doesn't mention the 2017 game ONCE because it was written before that game was even played. :mjlol:

So GTFOH with Kobe retiring made the all star game better.
NO I DIDN'T. Goddamn you can't read. I said, "it's only a coincidence because in reality the dumb shyt you talk about has nothing to do with Kobe or LeBron." Kobe retiring had nothing to do with the All-Star Game getting better, it got better because the NBA made format changes.

Total clown shyt. @10bandz and I don't beef Kobe/LeBron anymore because we both agree it's disrespectful and unnecessary. @Sccit and @Swagnificent are unanimously agreed by EVERYONE to be the two worst posters on this entire section (and other sections) and you needing to call them for backup shows what kinda quality you are.

The quality of the All Star Game has nothing to do with LeBron or Kobe. It mostly has to do with injury potential over time and format decisions by the league. It basically declined over Kobe and LeBron's entire careers and got good again after Kobe retired for reasons that have nothing to do with him or LeBron.

But you filled your entire post with clown shyt cause you can't read. :mindblown:

You can't format a post for shyt either, so long as we clowning. :lolbron:

Doesn't more personality lead to more criticism?

Yes but those guys could hide more in the 90's and 80's

Now you have to act like a robot because of debate shows

Or they will find something to be mad about

You a clown and a fakkit..

I posted 3 links and you looked at one of them that was dated in 2017 and talked about some typo..

GTFOH - you know the 2017 all star game was the worst and most non competitive of all time. Yet you posted that the years after Kobe retired the all star game got better. The 4 years after he retired includes 2017.

Learn how to type better sentences if that is not what you meant fakkit..

Otherwise stop disrespecting a dead legend.

Oh so you're still alive?

Last time you tried to engage me in debate was the thread about Luka being better than LeBron statistically at the same age. And if I remember correctly after I totally destroyed you by using the advanced stats you loved so much in the past when it came to Kobe vs LeBron debates you ghosted.

Only white boys like you got a problem with me. Don't mention my name again like that. If you got an issue with something I post, quote it and write a CONCISE response. Then I'll do what I usually do which is school you so bad you have to run away.
