I didn't say that was my opinion. I was saying that's most likely part of their rationale for having him over Zion.
6 months is pretty big in basketball time, it's the difference between Marvin Bagley and JJJ. The perception of those two is very different.
I don't think PIR is that useful either with the way rotations work over there. In Doncic's case it is probably more useful though than the average prospect.

The lack of everything else in his offensive game. Especially the jumper, if his jumper is trash how much value does he really have at the NBA level with what the rest of his skill set looks like.

You went from him supposedly struggling at D1 to questioning him at the NBA level, and he hasn’t played 5 games yet, despite putting up superior numbers. Lack of everything else in his offensive game? He’s supposed to be offensively polished as a freshman? No, who is/was? So far he showed that he can play, I can see IF he struggled against the lower level comp, THEN I can see dudes questioning him. But even then theyd be wrong.BTW his offensive game looks great. His jumper is fine. How can anyone be critical and forese failure when all he’s been doing is busting ass.
I don't have anything cut up right now but I have a good amount of footage on him. Was only around 20% from 3 last year, and took less 3pt shots than his Junior year.
And nah his handle isn't terrible but it's not that good either, kind of predictable. Off hand needs a lot of work.
He does a have a nice in and out move tho.
His finesse is overlooked when it comes to how he's getting these buckets. Impressive for his size.
