Friend Africans have complained of being exploited and uneducated by Western Europe.
Did I say otherwise ?

I believe African leadership sees that Chinese are concerned they will not be able to exploit africa forever
The Chinese are concerned ? By Africa's well-being ?

because they are actually educating africans in a way that facilitates Africans determining their own destiny so in reality, i dont see China being able to Take over Africa.
What does that mean ? Not theoritically but practically ?

They would need to have Bodies there to enforce their rule, which wont happen over an extended period of time because the climate is just to much for them to handle.
Come on, that's not what will prevent anybody from making tremendous amounts of money...

I think its a better deal then what they're getting from the west and when coupled with education, it will probably help them become independent in the long run
OK. I don't think they will, but I got your point and can see why you think that way.

.....How can they go about not being pimped. Wasnt Japan being pimped after ww2. Look at them now.
Japan's situation was quite different as we were at the end of a world war and they had no choice. Zimbabwe has the choice but chose to go from a pimp to another. Applaud that if you want, I won't.

There is always a choice. Self respect or death.

Do you know the reason why they chose to go with a new "pimp"?

lol @ tommy capping for china, lay off those chinese hookers

but anyways what i think its funny is how people over look the fact that all africa has to do to get rich is do exactly what the chinese did, turn into capitalists, african prosperity has nothing to with china or the west it has to do with how fast africans embrace capitalism

China embraced political authoritarianism, not just capitalism. A lot of their speed has to do with the former.

china has always had a political authoritarian system going back to the chow mein and fried rice dynasty, but after WWII they embraced communism and they were in poverty during that time, it wasnt until they embraced capitalism that their economy blew up

its not rocket science, capitalism leads to money and wealth, zimbabwe doesnt need to embrace china or the west, zimbabwe and other african countries need to embrace capitalism, and individual freedom and econoimc freedom for its citizens

the west has severely exploited african countries economically and politically, thats no secret. it was economic imperialism wrapped in diplomacy and philanthropy. when the west got africa deep in debt the consequence was western nations started dictating the public policy of the african nations. after that it was a wrap, and these african countries essentially became "colonies" of the western powers.

china is a little more subtle with their approach... a little more into development, infrastructure, training local workers, etc., but that's only so they can bleed africa slow. thats the biggest mistake the west made in their imperialistic conquests of africa-- they destroyed the social fabric so much with their economic conquests that they almost killed the golden goose. china is way more disciplined with their approach and are obviously in it for the long term exploitation.

but ultimately african countries need to start producing their own goods and increase trade internally amongst each other, it's really as simple as that.

1. Why does it have to be one or the other?

2. No amount of "white supremacist" behavior is evidence that working with the Chinese will turn out well.
Look THE REAL, people want progress now. You live in America where you can fill your chubby self 24 hours a day, from a variety of cultures. People see how people are living around the world and want it now, so alternatives to get them up to speed with the rest of the world ASAP are better then eating Dirt for dinner. I can tell you've never stuggled. I can tell you dont know what true poverty is. You just looked at it, then went back to the hotel like :whew: on some *get me the fukk outta here* type swagger. Yes, this is you. You really need to gain a better understanding of human nature. Right now one offers death and the other offers a chance at infrastructure and education at the cost of some resources. Through education more africans can begin starting businesses in Africa and hopefully put these resources to work but right now, they dont have enough capital to get these things accomplished so they sell what they have, TO GET IT

What should they be doing in your opinion. Telling both people hey the cost of this shyt is super high take it or leave it, right before an assassins bullet pierces their heart? :camby: So grown, yet so naive.
