Lance played for a team that keeps kicking your azz. He can help Dallas "self scout" and point out the flaws that the Niners were seeing when they played Dallas.
Shanahan didn't want Trey...Lynch did. Kyle Shanahan doesn't develop QBs so much as he takes guys and puts them into his system. If you're a good fit, it works. If you're not a good fit, you're fukked.
Cowboys are gonna have 18 seasons of QB play from Romo and Dak...all for the cost of a single 4th rd pick. Dallas has only drafted TWO first round QBs since 1960...Morton and Aikman. They've never invested much at QB. MM probably realized they need to get more talent in the room. Lance needs A LOT of work but he has raw talent to work with. Really weird how Dallas has almost always had decent QB play but have spent so little acquiring QBs.
