Nope, not falling for it. They do this in hopes of encouraging others to somehow feel guilty for wanting to live in a 2000 sf place or bigger. Lower your expectations so much to the point, and when they force these "tiny" living spaces, no one will bat an eye. I need my space, mentally and physically

I was going to criticize and yeah he can just as easily buy a 950 dollar apartment but this isn't the first story I heard about him. He is really invested in making Las Vegas, particularly downtown the new silicon valley and actually spending his money like said in the video to develop the area. I guess he is using the trailer to be nearby to the job and area until its developed.

He lives here in Vegas and could have a nice home, but I can't hate on a dude who's making 50 times what I make

only reason I think he's BSing is cause he's paying monthly. If you're paying rent on a trailer you could buy outright then you're wasting money regardless.

Most rich people are penny pinchers and cheap . That's nothing new

Exactly. Nikkas thinking the dude riding the phantoms, and living in the big houses are the rich people. The reality of things are that unless you are uber talented, the odds of becoming a deca millionaire (10+million are slim to none), but if you work hard, budget, plan, and are frugal, you can reach millionaire/multi-millionaire status in a single lifetime. I won't go into a long essay on the subject, but I will recommend anyone who is interested in becoming wealthy read the book "The Millionaire Next Door" by Thomas J. Stanley. You'd be surprised to find out that that guy down the street, who drives that janitorial truck, and dresses meager as hell is worth 2.6 million.

I wish y'all would stop spewing this myth, putting these rich people on some pedestal like that. Most rich people are not penny pinchers, they're just, generally good about not spending more than they can afford, and they make a boatload of money, so it makes that task easier.

It's not the poor people overreaching to buy a few Gucci sneakers and Louis bags that keeps the luxury brands alive, it's the loaded muthafukkas that walk in there spending racks simply cuz they got bored on a Tuesday.
This isn't a myth. At least the rich people living cheaply part.

I went to a private school my entire life and have grown up around truly wealthy cacs in MN. I'm talking kids whose parents made 33 to 66 mil a year as CEOs.

These dudes truly are penny pinchers when you see how wealthy they are. For example if you are making 33mil a year, what kind of car would you drive. This ceo guy was driving a Volvo. Whereas you can go to any big city and see some guy making. 150k a year driving a brand new bmw. Little things like that.

You are right. Having more money allows you more flexibility, but most older wealthy folks aRe not in Gucci. Their daughters are with the credit card

But..........he can afford it. :mindblown::beli:

nikkas gonna run up in here and try to be deep with it but in my mind he just a cheap bastid. So he's not using any of his money to enhance his lifestyle at all...what does he drive? How does he fly?

A man can live frugal but with that kind of money ain't no real justification for living like a dude who ain't got a pot to piss in. :manny:

Nah, it's a myth. Just because they don't care about cars or clothes, doesn't mean they're penny pinching.

That CEO in the Volvo (hardly a beater by the way, Volvo has/had a reputation as being one of the safest cars you could buy...he just sounds like a practical guy), may drive that car down to the marina to hop in his expensive ass boat that he only uses ten days a year.

If you told me that CEO would take his fam on vacations and stay at the Hampton Inn with free parking down the street instead of staying at the nice hotel at Disney World, then I could see it. But he wouldn't be the norm.

And plenty of old wrinkle faced white women be in those designer shops, breh.

He's probably looking to break free.
He could live like 50Cent and be paying $109,000 a month to pay for mortgage, taxes, and maintenance on a huge mansion.
But if he doesn't and pays $950 a month and add $50 for other expenses, he's able to save $108,100 a month if you compare those to expenses. If you multiply $108,100 times 12, that's a savings of $1,297,200.
That means the whole company could go bankrupt and since he didn't buy a lavish mansion, he's still rich and has low expenses. His net worth is more than some well paid athletes and entertainers, because he is not spending as much per year.

I don't know what his endgame is though. Maybe he wants to buy other e-companies and make zappos even bigger. :manny:

People like doing it because it makes their avg life choices look smart. Oh I don't have a nice car, house, clothes, etc because I'm trying to be rich. FOH give 90%+ of cats on here talking that shyt give them major millions none of them living this life they like kicking on here. They going to buy a shytload of stuff, party, etc just like most young people who get a ton of money do. Ole I'm going to get 20 million and live in the slums ass dudes.
