disappointed reactions and high praises for his scrapped ideas and plans, I feel like I'm in an alternative universe.
For visual directing and action, Snyder is top notch. For respecting historical canon, telling a story and directing a movie with connective tissue?

I have an issue with the Snyder Cut movement because who gives a shyt? Like that version is going to be better and coherent?
And I gotta prove my "standom" by screaming about whataboutisms like "rehire Gunn" (who's directing the next DC's Suicide Squad [which is worrisome after producing the atrocious Brightburn]) and some goofy Disney bullshyt like "Bring back spidey to Marvel?"
FOH and relax. If you like, IMO, Snyder's vacuous style of storytelling that's only OK when he doesn't have a story that's basically storyboarded for him, that's cool, I don't.
From watching his work, it seems like he's more worried about making visual iconic scenes but disregards the story and it's connective tissue.
WB fukked up by making the Sucker Punch director be the foundation of the DC cinematic universe with story and ultimate look (IMO).
If you like story arcs like the Justice League being introduced to the big screen from a USB stick, cool, but don't lash out and erroneously label people
blind, DC bashing Marvel stans for being critical of Snyder's DC work (MOS was good, BvS great scenes/bad story, JL naw).

As a writer this was always my issue with him. He doesn't care about telling an actual story. He just wants visually iconic shots. He should be an art house director if that's the case.
