I don't know why you're referencing box score numbers when he was grabbing boards against a small lineup and shot 4-11 against them. He had just as many turnovers as field goals.
He'll be 23 in a few weeks (to put into perspective Ant is 23 now), so it is alarming how raw he still is.
It should be expected that he's further along the timeline than he is, but that has a lot to do with Memphis not being able to utilize him properly.
He had a rough game offensively to start, but bounced back.
He really isn't raw. His post game is very formed. Great touch with both hands. Runs the floor waaay better than anyone thought. He handles doubles, and passes out them pretty well. He shoots 3s at a good clip. If he's not right now the best offensive rebounder in the league, he will be shortly. Great screen setter. Obviously has his deficiencies in perimeter D, and if you try and stick him on someone like Jimmy, he's gonna get cooked, but he's been light years better than the Tacko or Boban he was projected as. He's not a #1 option, or future hall of famer, but he's absolutely a very good big with some special qualities
Definitely agree on your last point. Jenkins had him hanging out in the dunker spot all year , clogging up the lane and dragging the offense down at times.
I just don't think ppl should be shytting on him and ignoring that the gameplan laid out was idiotic. Sticking him on Jimmy was beyond nonsensical. He had a lot of bad touches near the rim in the first half, but acting like that's not what he's great at, and posting MJ smileys and saying he's a scrub (not you, your critiques are legit) is shyt posting
