When the backbone of Black feminism is Bell Hooks...a woman that never included data or citations in her work...

You know you gonna have a bunch of Black feminists saying stupid shyt for the sake of sounding smart
These Shea Butter Twitter Feminists don't really fukk with Bell Hooks' work like they claim: http://www.thecoli.com/posts/25357065/

300 murders a year
Would you deny his evidence or do you not think this substantial enough to warrant a comparison?
He didn't provide evidence, just generalizations based on stereotypes provided in propaganda and cherry picked information to also support this propaganda. All being done to avoid the real elephant in the room which is white supremacy and institutional racism.

One thing I grew to accept is people are going to believe what they want to believe regardless. :yeshrug:

True.

Most of the arguments Dr. Curry makes, we've been making on this forum against LSA chicks for years and it falls on deaf ears.

I think the value in having an academic like Dr. Curry is helping those who aren't the most eloquent but can smell BS structure their arguments against Blavity Black females and female-identified, p*ssy pandering, pick me feminist nikka.

Of course not...but they take her framework of intersectionality and basically creates the oppression olympics...

So by default...Black men are the oppressors of Black women...because we supposedly have patriarchal attitudes...even though to be a patriarch...you need power...

Cause bell hooks don't include any data or historical perspective...it's basically just her opinion...with no facts behind it...it's not even really like intellectual work.

I read the shyt and I just was like confused...about how people can take her seriously...

She's basically just got a cosign by White feminist cacs and she is their magical negro...:mjlol:

We definitely need academics like Dr.Curry that isn't afraid to say that a lot of things Black academics say and believe is peddled bullshyt used to garner favor with White liberals so they can be on MSNBC and get invited to the Breakfast Club.

We seriously have an intellectual gap...

Either we get scammy nikkas like Umar or Polight or we get nikkas like Marc Lamont Hill...and then we will ignore a Dr.Curry or a William Darrity...because they ain't trying to make us feel good or apologize for us...they just simply trying to inform.

I didn't agree with that article, however, to deny/ignore the schism that is growing between brothers and sisters is folly.

Marches in general are bad examples of everyday social voice, they are flashpoints, brothers marched for Sandra Bland too. What I will say, must be addressed is the specific issues that plague our sisters must be given credence.

Beyond proximity, and this is from both data and personal experience talking to sisters, in which threats both real and perceived, mostly come from black men. So to say that there is no issue whatsoever is just as silly as saying that black men have NO positive interactions with black women..

You clearly didn't watch the video.

You're the exact type of dude Dr. Curry is getting at.

He doesn't deny anything. He say the issues are BIDIRECTIONAL and stem from White supremacy.

The problem with nikkas like you is you think the trauma is only in one direction and never even think to mention institutional racism.

As a Black male...most of the danger I will ever encounter will be a another Black male or a Black woman...that's just the reality of living with members of your race...if you don't wanna deal with that shyt then live with cacs and shyt...

I ain't ever seriously gonna be worried in my day to day life about another race assaulting me or killing me or setting me up...I am worried about other Black people doing that...cause that's who I associate with

People that you know and live close to you are gonna violate you the most...

I think people wanna live in a fairy tale world where nothing bad happens...

Poverty creates stress and violence...we are an impoverished group of people...everybody in our population ain't in the right mind, have experienced a lot of trauma and all types shyt...

The key is fixing the poverty...

You can't teach someone not to kill someone or rape someone or steal from someone...most human beings know it is wrong and immoral...

But what you can do is create conditions where people don't feel like they have to do that

People with good quality of life don't have a negative lifestyle and behavior patterns...

I will admit that I did not read the article because I made a promise to myself to refrain from the consumption of what I consider junk. If I refrain from eating GMO's and non-conventionally grown food then I will employ similar practices with what I allow my brain to consume. I appreciate these videos from Yvette and think its disheartening that people such as herself and Dr. Curry with such great intellect have to waste devoting their precious time dissecting "junk".

I agree with that. And they do. Cause is not reason for perpetuation. We know the source and we continue the behaviors that's OUR problem that we need to solve ALONG WITH combating white supremacy. Its a tough and fukked up position but its the truth.

Where the ladies at to defend us:scheme:

The only time you will see a black woman speak about black men on here is to say we are all PAWG chasers.

The moment you all understand their opinions dont matter and you need to do for self the better off you will be.

If a woman isnt your mother, wife, or daughter their opinion or thoughts should mean nothing to you and anywoman that is your mother, wife, or daughter respects you as a man enough to respect your decisions in life and at most will serve as advisors or supporters.
