Low skilled labor is only going to take you so far and without unions, labor protections, plus the advances in automation you're always going to play the "why are we so vulnerable?" game.

If the goal is building black wealth, this ain't the route. If the goal is just having a job, then fight the fight. :manny:

The goal is to have poor/low skilled black men putting food on the table for their kids. You ain't building black wealth with people unable to buy a book for their kids.

Saw it when I worked at a carpet mill in NW GA as an engineer.

Plants would be full of Hispanic workers. There wasn’t many brothers in these cities, but there were some, and they’d all come to me with the same story. They wanted to work at the mills, but could never get on. HR was filled with hispanic HR reps that would get their people on.

Hell, on the applications they’d have a preference that you were bilingual.

Breh...

I see this shyt daily in warehouses i go into..

Go in the back and its saturated with mexican workers.. From the supervisor down to the custodian..

Anytime some silly liberal say mexicans are only taking the jobs people don't want, i just shut down. I refuse to debate with someone who heard some shyt vs what i see daily all across the midwest..

it happened in my last job at a well known thrift store. the back of the store had alot of hispanics pricing the clothes and the front had alot of them also. along with the cashiers. the store was mainly hispanics and black people but a far bigger amount of hispanics and of course the jobs the black people had were mainly cashiers or you had the black supervisors that were there for years.

but as far as working in the back it wasn't alot of black people. and we know that those jobs at the back in any company will often give you the most hours.

me and another breh would sometimes tell people to apply to work but every week we would see it was some hispanic chick the manager went with

Also let's not sleep on the TEMP AGENCY racism, these same companies are the ones specifically asking for only white and hispanic workers, this is a real thing:

How temp agencies and their clients get away with discriminating against Black job applicants | Gary/Chicago Crusader

No 'ghetto people': How temp agencies allegedly hire based on race and gender

black men aren't even allowed to step foot on these job sites, and as we all know people get hired on full time through temp agencies all the time...

but hey, i guess we're supposed to just ignore all of this and keep fighting for those borders to stay open because democrats told me to :stopitslime:

Yo I swear to God this happened to me back in the day.
nikkas let me work the first day.
Manager bytch at the actual job site itself is on my nuts telling me I can get all types of hours and bla bla bla.

Go back to the spot the next morning everyone that was new like me yesterday gets they name called to go work but me.
Apparently out of all these people(Latinos) that I'm sure half was illegal only I gotta get a background check and it's gonna take a week.
That was the last straw.

:mjgrin:well look here

we're in agreement that the neoliberal institutions will on top of reporting said "felonies" (majority of it being bullshyt paperwork that shouldn't even be in the same category as murder, extortion etc) but will also advocate for the very people to commit them in the first place

almost like I was right in the first place that this country will go above and beyond to get cheap labor to do whatever is possible to make them greenbacks. pun intended.

If you're in NYC, you see illegals on non union construction sites all of the time. They depress wages for everyone. They just aren't picking fruit and cooking in restaurants. That's why employers aren't hammered for employing them.

Believe what you want to believe.
Going back to the OP's post, Yvette Carnell is right.
