if all of this was so easy there would be more black millionaires.

"just invest, buy houses, and sell shyt on ebay...it's that easy"
Nothing is easy. But if you just sit at home listening to Carnell you won't get anywhere close to there. Imagine all the people 4 years ago who said Bitcoin was a scam.

How did you anything like that out of any of the articles out there? :mindblown:

Every article I've seen mentions the fact that her parents purchased a McD's (just a few years ago) AND the fact that she worked overnight thru college AND the fact she applied to some internal McDonald's program for help, AND the fact that she's been running her parents location all these years while stacking for her own... Do me a favor and put all that info into a single headline :shaq2:

Just LISTEN to yourself trying to rationalize this shyt breh... You're telling me a 2 hour stream shading a family neither Yvette or her little minions even know is cool because the headlines weren't as detailed as she wants? :dame: How does THAT help any of us???

It doesnt help.

So the truth and data is considered "hate". As a community we have to stop getting hyped/living vicariously from our anomalies(1% of black folks with lots wealth/opportunity)....TIME TO STOP BULLshytING, BE HONEST WHERE WE STAND AND HOW WE CAN IMPROVE

We're so broken, we love to hype our 1%'s (lineage wealthy black folks, professional athletes, and entertainers)....CUT IT!

Its a thin line. You can make the point she was making without tearing down the accomplishments of a black person or downplaying their accomplishments. Im sure as a black business owner the girl and her family have to deal with shade from cacs everyday who dont think they should be able to own a mcdonalds. Now you got yvettes clown ass making 2 hours videos about something she dont even know so they get it from both sides. Anyway you slice it the end result of her tirade is tearing down another black person and even if its factually true its off code.. Never tear down another black person in public unless they are an enemy. The bigger picture is more important.

There is also this myth from broke folks that black folks with money or who newly came into money aint black or they dont experience racism or something anymore. Unfortunately there is no such thing as black privilege in america. Yvette must not know anyone who grew up with money cause some of these elite prep schools have just 1 or 2 black students and are more racist than schools full of black kids in lower income neighborhoods. Thats why a lot end up hating themselves and become c00ns cause their parents didn't prepare them for what they would face integrating these elite spaces. As long as this is a capitalistic country we will need there to be black elite and more blacks represented at all levels. That's how the game is played whether yvette likes it or not.

She never said don't invest into crypto-currency. Bitcoin has been around for nearly a decade, last winter we had bunch of people trying to invest during market highs smh. People taking out loans, borrowing against their mortgage or 401k or kid's tuition fund. She just wanted our people to understand the technology behind crypto-currency, the pro's, the con's and not just ride the wave for the fukk of it.

Not at all, she's not telling anyone to not invest in a McDonald's or fast-food. She's questioning the media and how they fail to properly present black-wealth. Its GREAT that we have wealthy black children as business-owners. We went black media (i.e. theRoot) to be intellectually honest on the generational wealth transfer. These delusions of grandeur that fail to present the truth, ain't helping no1 but
McDonald's(promoting young black investors without telling truth....AKA masking our true problems)
c00ns (if she/he can do it so can you)
White supremacists (if she/he can do it so can you)

STOP PRESENTING BULLshyt

It's becoming obvious that a lot of y'all have no idea why you're mad at this story, so you're harping on this "they didn't present it right" argument which doesn't even make sense.

Please point us to the article saying this is indicative of all of black America. Better yet, just tell us what it was supposed to say......

First of all, no one is denying wealthy black people encounter racism or tearing down the accomplishments of a black person. We're all happy for her and her family. The issue is how the news is presented. That is a problem because its a feel-good fantasy. There are too many problems in the black community for fantasy propaganda pieces. We talk about Democratic party rocking us too sleep with BS, then defend black media with propaganda pieces....Keep the same energy!

This story wasn't even big enough for her to make this video besides trying to get her audience emotional and feeling like they will never be as success as that Black woman and her fam.

I've been reading these threads and fans of Yvette and Tone Talk keep saying Black people need to be told these successful Black people are rare and their chances of getting to their financial position are slim to none.

I don't know where you guys live but where I'm from, Black people don't need to be reminded that they have little. I'm trying to figure out where this myth came that Black people need to stop thinking they are wealthy.

She didn't shade this black family, she just pointed out that the story was painted on some rags to riches shyt. When it's a generational wealth story. The point being the vast majority of black people aren't going to be able to just "work hard, save, and invest" and become millionaires. And for AADOS we have to start taking actions, one of those actions being to speak for ourselves, and not using the few exceptions as the whole picture of black wealth in America or thinking that elite Africans are some type of representation of African Americans.

You have people in here talking about selling shyt on ebay. The implication is that black americans haven't tried every damn thing or we're just stupid and lazy. Like we haven't seen places like Tulsa burned to the ground. There are black people that owned land and were simply run off the land and had their deeds handed out to white people. The small elite of black americans that do have money are keeping it amongst themselves to the point of having their little Jack/Jill circles as kids.

This same issue keeps popping up with people that hate "data" and hearing how things really are, they'd rather be fed false hope, catchphrases, and pep talks.

So nikkas r just in here bytching because Yvette pointing out the truth
:skip:
Yeah, but you know when someone tells people the truth about the reality of being black. You begin to see how fragile alot of us are.

Living in reality for black Americans AADOS is depressing. That's why everyone does their best to find different methods of escapism or they lash out against the messenger and NEVER attack the message.
The reality really isn't "depressing". It's just some black folks either don't want to fix there problem(which means changing how they operate) or know they r unfit to fix it and even r the issue themselves

You are still missing the bigger picture. The black community is losing a pyschological war.. we need more positive black propaganda not less. Gotta counteract the negative propaganda that consumes us daily from the radio to television. Rich cacs are not smarter or doing anything better than blacks. They just got better propaganda and messaging.. Pretty much all of them had help at some point to be successful. And the family didn't make the news story themselves so attacking them is out of line. But from the story I saw they stated the father of the girl was a franchise owner.. that was never hidden.. but even it also stated most that go through the program she did dont end up with franchises like that. It's still a huge accomplishment.

It's like when yvette was hating on Jay Z not realizing there have been hundreds of rich rappers that came and went.. there is still only 1 jay z worth over a billion and doing business on the level he is. Jay aint just above rappers, he is more succesful and powerful than pretty much all entertainers.. Jay is an extremely smart man and shrewd businesman.. he aint cut from the same cloth. same with Puff daddy who yvette also hates on. You cant downplay it by saying he only got there cause he made money rapping. if that was the case there would be a lot more billionaire rappers.

Where was it ever presented this way? Every article I have read says her father owned a franchise and she worked at their restaurant. I don't see how anyone could get that from reading the article. It was positive story. thats it. Please provide some receipts to back up your statements.

i know a lot of rich people who kids aint shyt, and on the other hand i know a lot of rich kids who hustle harder than others just to keep the wealth going. so it's seems like a slow news day to go investigate this woman for some perceived lack of entrepreneurial effort lol. but we all know how agendas work
