Just finished watching the video. Yvette is not ashamed to tell you nikkas that SHE was ALWAYS for what Trump is doing with the birthright citizenship and she's been preaching it for the past 6 years, just like she says in the video :birdman:

But it a nutshell she states that

  • The 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments were about ADOS alone and not anchor babies
  • Being a true citizen has to mean something or what's the point of being one :yeshrug:
  • People trying to exploit ADOS history like parasites need to :camby: and stand on their own two feet (:mjgrin:)
  • There a competition for resources and ADOS needs to stop pretending like there isn't one
  • That there's many of things she disagrees with Trump about, but birthright citizenship isn't one of them.
  • She doesn't like legislation coming from the executive branch, but appreciates Trump putting this topic out there for discussion
We get all that. The problem is the naivety she has to think these white supremacists won't come after us. Also too many of these so called pro-black FBA people are hyperfocused on immigration and not bringing down the system of exploitation called capitalism. That's the underlying issue here. No where in that video did she say shyt about the oligarchy taking over our politics or the tax cuts Trump intends to give to billionaires and the wealthy elite who fukk us all. There wouldn't any of this concern of competing for resources if the wealthy paid their fair share. That's the main fukking problem here!

Ratified in 1868, the Fourteenth Amendment opens with the Citizenship Clause. It reads, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” The Supreme Court addressed the meaning of this key provision in United States v. Wong Kim Ark. Wong Kim Ark was born in San Francisco to parents who were both Chinese citizens. At age 21, he took a trip to China to visit his parents. When he returned to the United States, he was denied entry on the ground that he was not a U.S. citizen. In a 6-to-2 decision, the Court ruled in favor of Wong Kim Ark. Because he was born in the United States and his parents were not “employed in any diplomatic or official capacity under the Emperor of China,” the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment automatically made him a U.S. citizen. This case highlighted a disagreement between the Justices over the precise meaning of one key phrase in the Citizenship Clause: “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”


Folks are trying this again in 2025. 127 years ago they already ruled on this---also this is an executive order NOT legislation. Why would the supreme court hear this case?

Once again, there are much more pressing issues that need to be addressed in this country than birthright citizenship. For instance, non-citizens can just freely purchase land and property here, and corporations can do the same.

Tackle those first, then we can loop back to birthright citizenship.

The vast majority of the EOs done by Trump aren't helpful for the average American, yet we're steady debating and bytching.

People on both sides of the spectrum get too caught up in B and C level issues.
