He’s better and more impactful than R.J. off defense alone.

This is absolutely false, the metrics will tell you Quickley is a worse defender....DBPM,Def win shares,Def Rtg say RJ is more impactful defensively. Those numbers dont take into account RJ guards starting 2s and 3s and not back ups...

That post was about Isaac.

By those metrics there isn’t a big difference between them both. Both are solid, neutral impact team defenders. There is a nice offensive gap tho advantage Quickley.

Those metrics without context don't mean shyt. IQ's playing most of his minutes against second units.

He doesn’t play solely bench players he plays mixed units and this doesn’t matter as much as you think anyway coming off the bench wouldn’t significantly help Barrett’s metrics.

The metrics you cited show a sizeable gap…

Quickley: 1.5 offensive box plus minus, 1.8 offensive win shares (playing less games and minutes), 113 offensive rating

Barrett: -1.0 offensive box plus minus, 0.9 offensive win shares, 106 offensive rating

The ‘lyrics hate Barrett’s offense his box score looks solid because of his minutes and usage.

No they dont RJ is a full win over him in win shares, his EFG is also better...but you prefer Quickley so you will point to the stats that favor him :yeshrug:

Also important to point out Quickeys usage is higher because you acted like RJ's shyt is inflated based on USG...

Yeah, Quickley plays point.

Anyway yeah there’s a nice gap in metrics and it’s easy to see whose better on offense from the eye test. Quick can pull from the parking lot, hit the floater, run the P&R a bit, draw fouls, and he scores in bunches. Both have limitations but Quickley is more dynamic.

bullshyt he’s already dynamic…11 points in under 20 minutes a game

Any nikka that can draw fouls, pull from 30, and get into floater range is dynamic

My boy was killing in the SL too advanced for these nikkas and showing better playmaking skills he’s gonna be a big weapon this year
