He misses a lot imo. I feel like he does that thing younger scorers do where they’re going to shoot no matter what or decide to pass no matter what. It could just be that his role in the second unit is to score score score and as he gets more acclimated to the starters he can learn his teammates better.

He's got a great feel for the game, which makes him great at anticipating things. But when he's forced off script, all of his creativity is scoring based. It's drawing fouls, getting floaters or bailout passes. To put it another way, I'm not sure he's making fast reads so much as he's anticipating movement and reactions. That's how you get plays like the nearly thrown away lob to Noel just now.

athleticism great and all but he might have a low bball iq

Thibs shyt offensive system ain't helping :manny:

Just look how the Knicks score, it's basically Randle; RJ, or at times Quick/Rose getting their own shot. No ball movement, no off all cuts, screens.

Knicks have a deep range threat in Quick, but always have him do offdribble shyt, he's hardly ever running off screens getting 3s.

Unless you're a great player, it's hard for a rookie big to play well in this system.

A point guard we need in the draft would unlock everyone :francis:
