Generation X dropped the ball they didn’t become OGs to the millennials like the boomers were OGs to them..in turn the millennials grew up without big homies which is why shyt so broken with black unity and progression now..only spiraling further since the millennials and Gen Z are some what in the same lost space so the older can’t lead the young

Did they? shytty Music contracts ain’t a new phenomenon. If you recognize that and still signed shytty deals, that’s on you. When OGs did speak up, particularly on the state of the music, this was usually the response. And everyone stood around and co-signed it and told them to “stop hatin cause they/we getting money my nikka.”
Yea each generation has become worse....I'm out here trying to restore the balance

Its sad how many people wont even raise their own children. What makes you think they'll actually look out for anyone else?
I was hated on or taken advantage of by the early 80s babies. Once I got on they were BITTER AF about it. Then they wanna snake you or lil bro you. Gotta watch out for crack era brehs they're so slimy. They think they're Teflon bullies
Most of them down bad and dusty AF. they'd probably try to do me harm for no reason if they saw me IRL today.
I can't even imagine in todays climate. Social media and technology hustles must be INFURIATING to them.

What reason is there for a 50 year old man to publicly tell a 17 year old, whom he never met or spoke to, to eat a dikk? But a nikka is supposed to just eat that disrespect because an og is saying it?
A lot of entitled, self righteous ass old nikkas try to mask blatant disrespect as game and nikkas see through the bullshyt. This is the reason why young black boys and men don't respect their elders. Them nikkas continuously do unrespectable shyt while expecting uncontested deference
Even in this vid at 5:40 Soulja says "what are you doing to change the situation? If you feel that strongly about it why not contact me personally and give me advice?" Why not do that instead of dissing a stranger?
Nikkas don't have to like Soulja Boy's music but he's the reason rappers are making legitimate money off the internet, even the old nikkas. We're talking about a 15 year old who made and produced his own music, booked his own shows and became a millionaire before he was signed. Who the fukk can't respect that?
And the reason young nikkas keep signing fukked up contracts is because the "ogs" hoard information and refuse to school the youth to all the pitfalls awaiting them. They do this because they're upset about how their situation turned out and don't want to see someone younger use that knowledge to do better. Black folks got that elder-youth jealousy issue BAD

That entire era was weird!
Music was becoming more about partying and dancing and it was some legit people mad with steam coming out of there ears because of that.
