That is a very broad stroke statement and I disagree. There are layers to something like that and it takes a little more dissecting.

My Take- kids that are not raised by two parents who actually parent by DOING rather than TALKING is a huge gap in a young persons life. Kids pick up far more by watching than they do listening to someone who didnt birth them tell them something. I can't stress that enough and we can come up with all the social equity bs, or reasons why many kids dont grow up without a safe/structured environment to grow up in. YOU NEED IT to build your own self confidence.

Id rather not listen to rappers give their advice on raising children. I have seen too many fall short of their responsibilities for the sake of fame and fortune. Fuk them for that. The second I had my son that was my priority and I can't fathom fathers who abandon their kids.

You can't save everybody, but you can take accountability and fix your own house. Start with that rather than opinions im tired of all the talk

And the reason young nikkas keep signing fukked up contracts is because the "ogs" hoard information and refuse to school the youth to all the pitfalls awaiting them. i disagree. i beleive OGs do try to put the younger generation on game, but they are dismissed because they may not have seen the same level of success as someone like master p or jay-z and ended up signing the fukked up contracts as kids. which results in a disconnect since everyone wants to follow the ‘successful’ man’s blueprint, and then wonder why they fail. and thats why all hiphop now sounds the same and dumbed down.

Right, Gen X is called the "latch key generation" for a reason. Boomers put themselves over their kids and Gen X had to raise themselves, pretty much. The reason why Gen X parents in turn became smothering doormats to their kids
