Going out into the country from the city is a mind calming experience. Another thing that seen as "white people shyt" is off-roading/camping. My grandfather used to take his Chevy pickup off the grid to go fishing deep in the cut catching them fish and frying them joints right on the spot.

Just the difference in outdoor smells from White Plains Road in the Bronx to North Carolina woods, can bring your blood pressure down a bunch of points.

If he's smart this is exactly what his story is or some version of it...she left and he has no idea what happened to her or where she is. The only problem tho is you don't really want to cooperate with the cops because thats how they catch you...you give them the only info/evidence they didn't and wouldn't have had if not for you talking. So you admit she was with you then they want to know where exactly yall was at. Why? So they'll at least know where to start searching for her body/evidence.

difficult part about this story is that he should’ve started a search party the next day if she didn’t return.

him coming home without her (if he supposedly cared) is pretty damning without a huge concerted effort to find her while they were out :francis:

That’s not how that works. Look up the case of Etan Patz- child abduction case. Body was never found but they declared him dead in absentia. Prosecutors secured a kidnapping and murder conviction.
“Death in absentia (award in absentia) means that someone is declared death despite gaining any direct proof of the person's death.”
There are always exceptions, of course. I wasnt saying it hasnt happened before. I dont know anything about that case so I'd like to read about it now. :ehh:

There was a time when our grandparents and great-grandparents were being raised in the back woods of the Alabama, Carolinas and Georgia, that they were outdoors people -- of the land.

The Hood/NWA generations are the ones with the urban housing project limitations on life, and are sadly disconnected from the survivalist legacies of black folk in the South.

Those of us who were sent as kids "down South" during the summer to live with relatives, were forced to learn the land. We hated in then, but the experience was invaluable.

This is why when critical issues arise like massive flooding, too many have to be saved by Duck Dynasty's fishing boat instead of being prepared for disaster.

Yeah, even if he got mad and he drove off without her, a normal person would cool off after a while and might think something is wrong if they didn't hear from her after I don't know..a day? He just kept on for two weeks? Not like she could've just walked back home.
