I remember SOHH and another hip-hop site had a subforum dedicated solely to downloads. The other hip-hop site used to have ALL the porno drops but you had to register and like the threads to unlock them :mjlol:
You mean HH (Hip-Hop) Board? I used to get all my G-Unit Radio mixtapes and albums around that time from there. I was stanning HEAVY. You mentioning this got me feeling more nostalgic than this YouTube shyt. :wow::blessed:

Something a lil different tho, who remembers Kazaa and Limewire? And then search for words like nude/naked/mirror (before the selfie lol)/password etc. because people didn't read when finishing the installation and clicked to share their whole damn hard drive on there? :ohhh::wow::ohlawd::yeshrug:

If I remember correctly you could even rightclick and do something like 'search for more uploads by this user' :hamster: The amount of fukkery people unknowingly shared with the whole damn world. :picard:

Yeah I made a thread on this a couple years back. But it's crazy the shyt YouTube used to have back then. I'm talking they had full seasons of multiple shows lol, movies, porn, all that.
YouTube doesn't get its props for still being socially relevant. shyt came out in 2005 and is still going strong. It was around when Myspace was still poppin

There’s no credit to give at this point. It’s ubiquitous

Even after YT started locking down, for a while you still had Megaupload and Stagevu (the GOAT for HD streamed movies). Copyright cartels killed those with the swiftness. I remember a SWAT team in New Zealand taking down Megaupload owner Kim Dotcom. Dude had MILLIONS

Only pirating that continues to thrive is torrenting

I remember. Then Kazaa had malware or something and fukked up people's computers. eDonkey was hot for a minute too.

I may be aging myself but back before Napster I remember how there was nothing but FTP sites hosted on people's computers. There was some kind of directory you had to search (I forgot the name). Anyway, you had to upload like one song/movie for every 5 or so you downloaded to help add to the collection. That was the beginning when the mp3 format was first popularized.
