YouTube is a platform owned by a private company. If you built a website are you gonna let random people decide what your rules are? Private ownership = full control

I listed them to show that "private companies" cannot just "do what they want" and make up "their own rules".
Those are factors and they are not the only ones.
Another is data privacy legislation. A company cannot just refuse to delete your data in perpetuity.
There are many others but why should I be your personal google.

Summary: private companies cannot just make up whatever rules they want. Their rules have to comply with the broader rules of the society within which they are allowed to operate.

And there's nothing anti competitive about removing extremist content.
