when it comes down to it, majority of the time it is lack of discipline and self control. If you know you gain weight easy why the hell you gonna keep doing it? :shaq2:

Funny thing is... weight loss is a multi-billion dollar market when all you really need to do is eat less bad things, eat more good things, and workout more.
The reason why its such a huge market, is because people want the same results with less work... or in some cases, with 0 work.

I have a lot of fat friends. But I promise, If someone is really ready to lose weight, i'm there 100% for them.
-I will wake your ass up at 7o'clock and go running.
-And I will drag you to the gym after work
-I will slap the sprite out your hands
-I will tell you exactly how many calories are in that burger

That's just the kind of friend I am :troll:

Telling someone that the lifestyle that they are living is unhealthy and a detriment to society is NOT bullying and THAT is the problem here.

I agree with you, although, how they are told or the method used to explain that their lifestyle is unhealthy and a detriment to society is key. On one hand I absolutely detest the outrage culture in society today. Absolutely detest the perpetually offended. Everyone is super sensitive and looking for something to be offended over. However, I'm also uncomfortable with the increased lack of civility in modern political and social discourse. People really don't know how to communicate and debate one another in a respectful manner any more. I'm glad she's standing her ground though and not apologizing, but at the same time the overweight people and their cheer leading enablers need to get over themselves and stop taking an Internet Comedian so seriously. They gave themselves an L when they went into outrage mode over a YouTube comedian with porn star makeup.

A lot of truth in this post, and I think the two are linked. The lack of civility is probably directly tied with people being oversensitive.

But I would say this to you... you cannot expect to change society or culture. People are going to have faux outrages and internet based social discourse will continue to be 90% shyt. Its best to worry about your family and your circle. I'm losing about as much sleep for a random fat person I've never met as I am for a random youtube commenter.

I'm definitely not saying that shyt is ok. That's definitely not wavy.

But the thing is, in 2015 as you can see from the videos in this thread, that's not what people are considering "fat shaming". People are calling exactly what I said (Yo you need to lose weight, shyt is not healthy as well as a host of other things) "Fat shaming".

Then I agree with that then. Those people definitely do misuse the term fat shaming of course.

I was referring to how it would be previously be used.

How many of these fat heifers crying about "body shaming" would spit in a 5'4 males face, though?
The hate thrown at short men easily dwarves, (pun intended) that of the disgust directed towards beached whales.
In fact, it's perfectly acceptable. Shorter men even earn less $$ in the workplace.
The kicker is that these gluttonous hogs are within their power to alter their body weight. A man who tops out at 5'3?
Has a hairline that talks back?
He's SOL, but therein lies the difference between the sexes.
Men soldier up because society refuses to coddle a weenie complaining that people are mean to him because he's below average height.
So that guy either makes the moves to make himself more desirable or waddles in self pity.
These pigs meanwhile demand rather normalize obesity than making the steps to improve their quality of life, and society entertains this.
It's absolutely nauseating.

all of them. There is no body shaming as bad as "short male shaming"

I've seen the struggle they go through, i'm just happy i'm tall.:yeshrug:

My mom used to tell me when I was younger, "there is no such thing as handsome and ugly men, just short men and everyone else'" :francis:

I just realized Ma was an OG body shamer :wow:

So many topics people go in on all day but somehow, big people who willingly are big (very few have health conditions that AREN'T caused by getting fat in the first place)
are protected. Typically, big women. Meanwhile shows and commercials can show off a man being balding and dimwitted while the women are svelte and sharp as a tack.

I'm over that, though. I don't care for shaming. What I do care for is keeping me and my circle fit as fukk. Watch me down this whole pizza and stay with my tiny waist.
Difference? I'm gonna be in the gym deadlifting in the morning, and I don't eat shyt on the regular. I'll accept all the short jokes, the dry dikk jokes, the big lips, ears, and nose
jokes (all shyt I can't change) but a fat joke :whoa:

Alright:rudy:I ain't with this "shaming" shyt, but if you hear the support groups for big people, many push for acceptance rather than lifestyle improvement.
Check your healthcare bills. What advantage is there to not push for a slimmer frame? Again, not including the *small* amount of people with legit health problems.

I saw a billboard of that show up just now coming home from work.
Thought it was a weird ass play or some odd ass museum exhibit I never heard of.
