I refuse to pay for YouTube premium. Had Adblock on my iPhone for like 4 years and haven’t seen an ad on mobile YouTube since.

If I wanna listen to shyt play in the background while I do other shyt there are apps for that.

Adblock app I use is called AdGuard. Haven’t seen an ad on mobile YouTube since I installed it.

The separate app I use if I want to play videos in the background is PartyTu. You only see an ad when you initially open the app.

I use YouTube damn near everyday, I also like to watch my favorite podcast on YouTube without the ads , Premium is def worth it for me.

Yeah they've have gotten progressively worse. In the beginning it was just a add that you could skip immediately then it got to the point where you had to let the ad play for like 30 seconds. Now if you watch a long video you're getting multiple ads per video. A ten minute video would have like 4-5 ads!

Bit the bullet and tried the family plan since I have multiple accounts because each account has certain types of videos I watch. It's free for 30 days and I'm loving it so far! Taking me back to the early to mid 2010s with no ads! I watch a lot of videos on YouTube because I work the graveyard shift so this worth it.
