So if your issue is that a republican will bring in republican friends and democrat presidents will bring in democratic friends then it is what it is.

I have no qualms either way. My posts were merely stating that the missions and embassies are still open and running and the deputy head of mission is still making sure it's business as usual. New figureheads will be coming shortly.

Obama did a lot to reopen the pathway to the world/globalization after W. had it slammed on his face. Looks like they're taking all the nice/gentle reps who reopened these doors and replacing them with business minded/pro-Murica reps to ensure that the west is out there steady competing with China/east as the next stage of this game of risk goes into play. China working on building a new silk road and the only way the US is gonna be able to compete is with someone like Trump at the helm. Think dollars and cents.

See this a viewpoint I can agree with, although having someone like Trump on the helm will be counterproductive. The man has no idea which policies to follow through on. He's both liberal and conversative.

That's good. We don't need a hard liner when dealing with different foreign interests. What works in Colombia isn't necessarily going to work in Equatorial Guinea even though they both speak spanish, know what I mean?

Because it is Trump, and he's shown nothing to dissuade anyone from believing that he has the best intentions for minorities and blacks. A nationalistic message has never worked well for minorites, so why would it now?
