i honestly think ppl who do this are mildly retarded
i dont eat my burgers with ketchupI fail to see the problem. Beef is beef. People eat burgers with ketchup, so why not a hint of ketchup with steak. Food snobs on here.

i'm not a beef person in general, but a good steak doesn't need sauce point blank. i don't even think real steak houses carry shyt like A1, that's some overcooked homemade/sizzler/local bar steak condiment, so then to go a step further and use ketchupI fail to see the problem. I like to dip my steak in ketchup. People look at me funny about that for some reason. People like steak sauces, which I don't like. I prefer Heinz ketchup. I barely dip the steak in the ketchup as I like just a hint of it with the beef.
I don't like my BBQ slaughtered with sauce. Anytime I grill, I barely paste the sauce on it. When I get it from somewhere, I tell them sauce on the side cuz otherwise they squirt that sh!t all over the ribs. I think sauce should enhance the meat, not equalize or engulf it.
This reminds me of my other take, chicken is the GOAT meat (don’t even ask me how). Not sure where the “chicken gets boring” trope came from but it’s so versatile, I absolutely love chicken.
I saw a woman and her daughter get cussed out in Chicago for ordering ketchup on her hot dog.i'm not a beef person in general, but a good steak doesn't need sauce point blank. i don't even think real steak houses carry shyt like A1, that's some overcooked homemade/sizzler/local bar steak condiment, so then to go a step further and use ketchup
ketchup has 3 uses IMO - burgers, hot dogs (not hot links ), and fries
Have u tried steak with a peppercorn or bernaise sauce? You can still have it on the side, they are just not sugar based sauces.
I've had peppercorn steaks which I like. It's not something on my radar for the most part. If you mean a peppercorn sauce, I've never had that, just had peppercorn on the steak. I've never heard of Bernaise sauce, had to look it up. Yeah I'm not doing that. Stuck in my ways.
Peppercorn sauce is what I was referring to. Delicious. What is it about the bernaise sauce that turns you off?
Thanks! Ever since the Jamaican place in Woodbridge closed years back, I've been fiending! There is a little Black owned spot in Prince William County called Tropical Bites. If there are still opened after the pandemic, they are decent.
Admittedly I need to branch out when it comes to food. I look at certain things, and if it doesn't fit with my regularly scheduled program, I can't make sense of it. Regarding Bernaise Sauce, it doesn't look like it belongs on a steak. Looking at the ingredients, I suppose its similar to Hollandaise, which I've also never tried.
Very similar to a hollandaise just with tarragon, red wine vinegar and shallots. Hollandaise on eggs benedict or eggs royale is to die for. I prefer my hollaindaise warm but usually when i go out to breakfast its cold because they have to make it in advance. Is it the eggs that put you off?
