1408 was intense. But, when, Cusak broke the water picture ended up in the ocean, it became cartoonish.

For any book heads..
What King books have you read that you'd like to see turned into a movie (assuming they'd hit it out the park) and give a brief run down on the book/story

I want to see this

if they ever make the movies (or hbo series) on The Dark Tower then that would be my choice but until then The Shining, Pet Sematary, IT, Carrie. Those would probably be my favorites.

Eyes of the Dragon - It takes place in the same universe as the Dark Tower series, it's actually something of a prequel or an altenate universe. But it's a very traditional fantasy story. About a prince wrongfully accused of a king's (his father's) murder. The boys idiot younger brother becomes the king, under the control of a malevolent sorcerer. Underrated book and it would make a great movie with the right director and actors

Black House/The Talisman - The books written by Peter Straub and Steven King, it's about a boy the goes into a haunted house, and stumbles into an alternate universe of his world, it's kind of complicated, but could make for a good movie. Also takes place in the Dark Tower continuity. See the pattern here.

Rose Madder - About a woman who is abused by her state trooper husband who terrorizes her in an alternate universe, as a Minotaur. Trippy but a good read. Might make a better TV movie though.

just a few, I'm a big King fan.

The Peter Staub and King book you're talking about is The Talisman...not Regulators. Regulators was written under the Bachman psydeunym. Straub and King also wrote a Talisman follow-up called The Black House.

..and late last year there was news that a Rose Madder movie was in the works, being written by the writer who wrote In America. Haven't heard anything since December though, so take that with a grain of salt since virtually every King book that comes out has movie rumors attached to it. For example, Jonathan Demme optioned the film rights for 11/22/63 well before the book was even released. Plus, IT, The Stand, The Dark Tower, Under The Dome, Cell, Carrie, and Firestarter are all rumored to be in preproduction.
