Yeah I would only count Chrono Trigger on there. Maybe OP can elaborate on what he considers JRPGs. To me any turned based fighting game would definitely be included. But I would hate to think that thats the only requirement.

What the difference between a RPG and a JRPG? I used to think anime/manga influence but the Mario RPGs surely don't fit under that, do they?

Fire emblem awaking is broken as hell breh. Its a decent game but its a terrible fire emblem game. You shouldnt be able to have an army of wyvern rider because you feel like it. Nintendo destroyed their rpgs for mass appeal.

Never played xenoblade but i dont care about anime style rpgs, i like unique characters and thats what classic nintendo rpgs brought.

Japanese rpg. I always thought it also meant it had to be turn based but thats debatable. Mario rpgs are made in japan and turn based.
