Probably Haneke's most restrained and optimistic piece; I don't know if it's his best film, but I do think it's him at his best.
I watched it. Idk what to make of it. Death/dying/people getting sick really creeps me out in real life so to watch it for 2 hours idk breh lol

I generally don't respond to his work, but thought Amour was great

Amour is next up on my Haneke watchlist and I figured it would be good because since Benny's Video, I've only enjoyed every other movie of his.

LOL @ thinking that's an odd pick

I don't give a fukk if you like it or not, it's very highly regarded and holds up incredibly well.
lol, David Fincher hasn't directed anything that holds up well since 2007. Together with Ridley Scott and Christopher Nolan he completes the trifecta of technically gifted directors who have lost any artistic talent they ever possessed. Unlike those two weaklings Fincher can actually still make a movie that captures your interest the first time, but once the fresh coating comes off, sheez...

No order:

Blue Ruin
Leviathan
A Separatoin
Shame
Jodorowsky's Dune
Borgman
Victoria
La Isla Mínima
The Skin I Live In
Jagten

But a decade is far too long of a period, I can't really remember most films I've watched.
Glad I'm not the only one considering this. I like that your list is pretty much all foreigh

Her are 10 from 2009-2019:
Black Panther [2018]
13th [2016]
The Big Short [2015]
Sicario [2015]
Beasts Of No Nation [2015]
Me And Earl And The Dying Girl [2015]
Straight Outta Compton [2015]
John Wick [2014]
Interstellar [2014]
Her [2013]

These were cool too:
I Love You Phillip Morris [2009]
Where The Wild Things Are [2009]
The Lovely Bones [2009]
The Hangover [2009]
Black Dynamite [2009]
Boyhood [2014]
Drive [2011]
Freakonomics [2010]
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World [2010]
Kick-Ass [2010]

Best actor for me is Leo, so any one of these could be on my list:
The Revenant [2015]
The Wolf Of Wall Street [2013]
Shutter Island [2010]
Inception [2010]

There are so many, but its hard to think of them. Going through this thread I remember the titles of some of these movies but don't remember what some were about.

I've never understood the love The Social Network gets. I came to it 2-3 years after release and I'm not sure I finished it in one sitting. It's a high budget TV movie. I'd rather watch Pirates of Silicon Valley.

I dig this list.

Which Leviathan? The doc or the Russian retelling of Job?

A Separation is one I'm gonna rewatch. Only seen it once, 8 years ago, but gave it 10/10

Being a semi-OCD nerd pays off every once in a while. I have personal best of lists starting in 2013...where I list/rank every film I saw lol.
